Chapter 109 Thunder God’s Threat!

Wei Qimian was confused as she had no idea that there was something else planned for her.

The applause and cheers gradually subsided. Suddenly, popping sounds could be heard and there were ribbons filled everywhere. Then, a banner suddenly appeared on stage with the words: ‘Wei Qimian, be my girlfriend!’

Wei Qimian stared in surprise as all this happened. Her heart pulsed with excitement. She took a deep breath and turned to look at Lin Huai. Just as she was about to question if he had planned this, he suddenly kneeled down on one knee. The host put a bouquet of flowers into Lin Huai’s hands. Lin Huai lifted his head up, stared at Wei Qimian and said, “Be my girlfriend.”

Wei Qimian puckered her lips. She was absolutely touched. Right after, all the students stood up and repeatedly shouted, “Brother Huai! Sister-in-law! Brother Huai! Sister-in-law!”

Wei Qimian was on the verge of tears. Lin Huai saw that and panicked, before he quickly said, “Don’t cry, I will feel distressed.”

Wei Qimian pouted her lips and stomped her feet. She sobbed and said, “It’s all your fault. You are the one that caused me to tear up.”

Lin Huai asked, “Do you agree to be my girlfriend?”

“There are so many people here that are waiting for me to say yes, can I choose otherwise?” Wei Qimian said as she accepted the bouquet of flowers.

Lin Huai laughed loudly. Then, he stood up and hugged Wei Qimian.

Everyone then shouted, “Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!”

Lin Huai leaned in close to Wei Qimian’s ears and whispered, “Let’s fulfill their wishes.”

The atmosphere was romantic and both of them couldn’t help but kiss each other. Wei Qimian didn’t even think about rejecting the notion. Everyone was cheering them on. Tears also rolled down her face but it was tears of joy.

In the meantime, two girls present at the party also teared up. Liu Meiqi wiped her tears off while sobbing. “Damn it! Shouldn’t I be hating him for this? Why am I feeling jealous and crying over this instead?”

Gao Mengchao looked on and gave a light pat on Liu Meiqi’s shoulders. She said, “Don’t think too much. He is an amazing guy but he might not suit you.”

“But I really love him. What should I do?” Liu Meiqi who had found pleasure in seducing guys all this while had really fallen in love. As she burst out in tears, Gao Mengchao sighed and gave her a hug to console her.

Soon, the party was over and everyone left. Lin Huai had planned to continue chatting with Wei Qimian but probably due to her shyness, she ran off and returned to her dormitory. Lin Huai had no choice but to return to his dormitory as well. His close friends in the dormitory teased Lin Huai about the fact that he did not manage to have sex with her that night.

The next day happened to be a weekend and most of the students returned to their homes. Lin Huai hesitated as he was unsure if he should head over to Li Qianqian’s house. However, when he got out of the canteen after taking his breakfast, he received a phone call.

Lin Huai naturally thought Li Qianqian was the caller and that she wanted to invite him over. However, when he took a look at his phone, the caller was not her but an unknown number. Despite that, Lin Huai picked up the phone. Just as he was about to say hello, he heard Thunder God’s voice on the other side of the phone. He laughed and said, “Lin Huai, guess where I am now?”

Lin Huai felt uneasy but calmly replied, “Oh Big Boss Lei? How did you manage to get your hands on my number?”

“Haha, I got it from Teacher Pu.”

Lin Huai solemnly asked, “Teacher Pu? Pu Yingxue? What did you do to her?”

He was filled with anger.

“Haha, don’t get agitated. Teacher Pu Yingxue has been providing you with so much help as of late. Therefore as your big brother, I bought some gifts and paid her a visit. Teacher Pu’s entire family is home, do you want to come over?”

Lin Huai took a deep breath and knew he could not lose his temper. Thunder God is threatening me. The deadline of a week is almost up and he is taking measures to prevent me from turning him down. Thus, he is using such a method to warn me that people around me could get hurt if I rejected him. For example, he could be chatting with me like friends now but once I turned him down officially, Pu Yingxue and her family would be implicated and be in trouble.

Lin Huai had already planned to accept his offer. However, such measures by Thunder God made Lin Huai extremely furious and anger built up inside of him. Despite that, he had no choice but to suppress his anger. Lin Huai’s face turned green from anger but his voice remained calm and collected as per usual. In fact, he even sounded a little joyful as he said, “Big Boss Lei, you don’t have to be so kind towards me. As a matter of fact, I have thought about it and agreed with the offer you proposed. I am grateful that you are willing to take me in, Big Boss Lei. I feel this is an honour and acknowledgement of my capabilities.”

Thunder God sounded delighted. “Are you really going to accept my offer?”

Lin Huai smiled and said, “Yes. I went back and thought about it carefully. Having the honor of being recruited personally by you is something that everyone yearns. However, Big Boss Lei, there is something I have to tell you and it might bring you some trouble. May I know when you would be free?”

Big Boss Lei sounded extremely happy. “Right now. You can look for me now. Or how about we meet at the hotel that we dined at the previous time? Let’s go back to the same VIP room. I will give them a call and make a reservation. I am done paying Teacher Pu a visit, she is a kind person. Give me a moment and I will be there soon.”

“Alright.” Lin Huai heaved a sigh of relief. That demon finally left Pu Yingxue’s house. “I will head over and wait for you there.”

Lin Huai hung up the phone and it could be seen that he was extremely furious. He angrily said, “Thunder God! The thing I hate the most is when somebody threatens me by putting the people close to me in danger. That’s my bottom line. Eventually I will teach you a huge lesson!”

Lin Huai took a deep breath and his expression returned back to normal. Only then did he walk out of the college. Although he was extremely furious, he knew now was not the best time to go up Thunder God. Lin Huai decided to cooperate with Captain Wang whereby legal means could be used to capture Thunder God if the opportunity arose. Of course if it did not bring him to justice, Lin Huai did not mind utilizing his own methods by taking things into his own hands.

Power and forces serve as means to achieve justice!

Lin Huai left his college and took a cab to the hotel. He entered and immediately somebody there brought Lin Huai over to the VIP room that he previously went to.

Lin Huai took a seat and waited for about twenty minutes. Then, the door opened and Thunder God walked in with a huge smile on his face. He laughed, “Good, good. Congratulations on making the right choice!”

Thunder God opened his arms wide and said, “Come, my brother!”

Lin Huai smiled back and walked over to him. He gave Thunder God a hug and put on a front to look like he was in fear.

Thunder God seemed extremely friendly. He patted Lin Huai on the shoulders and said, “Take a seat and let’s talk. Tell me, what trouble did you get yourself into?”
