The Great Trump Card - Chapter 85
Chapter 85 Zhou Minghu Fights Back Madly
Gao Mengchao was delighted at this moment as well because based on the situation, she might be able to take the highest position in the whole school. However, she knew this was not the right time for it and the most important thing now was to eliminate the sports major.
Zhou Minghu took a look at Lin Huai, then at Gao Mengchao before starting to laugh suddenly, while Lin Huai just watched on quietly at the side. Zhou Minghu would certainly feel unhappy about it and would surely retaliate in a frenzy. Lin Huai recalled that Zhou Minghu had owned a handgun before and wondered if he had brought it with him today.
Zhou Minghu suddenly turned his head to look at Gao Mengchao and said in a malicious voice, “Miss Gao, I did not expect you to provoke me first when I did not fight against you at all. Lin Huai has only joined this school for half a month and he has already caused such a big scene. This is unprecedented since the first day the school was established and yet you are cooperating with him. Are you not scared that he would take over your own forces in the end?”
Gao Mengchao was toying with the knife in her hand while she replied smugly, “Mr. Hu, you don’t need to waste your energy to bother about my business. You’ve occupied the seat as the School Overlord for far too long. It is about time that you step down.
Zhou Minghu answered calmly, “You are dreaming if you think that I would surrender so easily. I do not know how Lin Huai made my men turn against me, I… ”
Lin Huai interrupted, “Actually I did not make them betray you.”
Zhou Minghu looked stunned and asked, “What do you mean?”
Lin Huai replied with a look of helplessness on his face, “I was just making things up. Your men, Li Guangzhi and Li Kandao, did not betray you at all. There was just some sort of conflict that happened between Li Guangzhi and Pan Haifeng, while Li Kandao had left the college because he lost to Dao Zi yesterday. I did not expect you to be so paranoid. I just simply provoked you with a few words and you exterminated all your loyal men who have followed you for so many years. You get suspicious of others too easily and have no trust in your brothers.”
Li Guangzhi struggled to talk as he stuttered, “He’s right, Mr. Hu. I… I did not turn against you but you… you did not even want to listen to my explanation.”
Zhou Minghu’s expression became more and more unsightly; the fact that these people did not betray him was a bigger blow than knowing that these people had turned against him. What would his brothers see him as now?
As expected, Zhou Minghu could see people turning their heads away while some were shaking their heads and sighing.
Lin Huai added salt to the wound by saying, “If you follow this kind of Big Boss who fights his own brother and doesn’t even trust Li Kandao and Li Guangzhi who have conquered the world with him, do you think he will care about nobodies like you? Aren’t you afraid that you will also be treated the same way? I feel that you guys will be underappreciated.”
Lin Huai continued, “As for those who still can’t make up their minds, you are from different majors, so based on Zhou Minghu’s paranoia, do you think that he will trust you? Even if you decide to follow Zhou Minghu today, can those of you who are gang leaders be certain that Zhou Minghu will not get rid of you tomorrow, the day after tomorrow or after that?”
The people looked upset, especially the gang leaders of each class; their emotions were unpredictable as they pondered on that possibility.
Lin Huai continued his speech with confidence, “Of course you are afraid, but after what has happened today, Zhou Minghu’s paranoia will be completely triggered and he will not trust you at all after this. Do you guys want to end up like Li Guangzhi?”
Lin Huai shouted out that last sentence and it made them come to their senses as they started to look at Zhou Minghu in a different way.
Zhou Minghu reorganized his emotions and smiled forcefully. “Don’t worry everyone, if you work with me to destroy Lin Huai today, I, Zhou Minghu, will treat you all as my own brothers from now on. I will even select some of you to take up the empty positions of the Yulan’s Four Tigers.
Zhou Minghu continued with a solemn look on his face, “Zhang Hongdi, Li Kandao has left so from now on, you will be my Twin Red Cane. What do you think of me selecting the Yulan’s Four Tigers from those who decides to join me today?”
“Me as the Twin Red Cane?” Zhang Hongdi smiled apologetically and said, “I’m afraid I do not have such capability.”
Zhou Minghu was astounded as he asked, “What do you mean?”
“Mr. Hu, there were four people in Yulan’s Four Tigers. Pan Haifeng and Chen Gang had fallen while Li Guangzhi was exterminated by your own hands. I am the only one left and even the Twin Red Cane had left. Your greatest allies have left and I’m afraid that I will not be able to follow you anymore…” While Zhang Hongdi was talking, he and his men were already retreating. Even Lin Huai was taken aback by this, let alone the others, and Zhou Minghu’s face became even more furious.
“Even you are betraying me!” Zhou Minghu pounced forward but Zhang Hongdi was one of the Yulan’s Four Tigers after all; he had his own tricks up his sleeves and kept his guard up. When Zhou Minghu attacked him, he attacked back as well. But before the knife in his hand could reach Zhou Minghu’s body, Zhou Minghu’s brick had already smashed onto his head. Zhou Minghu then grabbed his collar and with a shoulder throw, he slammed Zhang Hongdi hard onto the ground.
“Damn you! How dare you betray me? How dare you betray me?!” Zhou Minghu smashed the brick onto Zhang Hongdi’s face consecutively and blood was spattering in all directions; the scene was quite gruesome.
At this moment, Yang Ke—who had been hiding among the sports major, and was also the chess piece which Lin Huai placed among the sports major—started yelling, “Everyone run! Mr. Hu has gone mad and he is beating up his own men! We can’t just stay here waiting to be beaten up!”
Everyone started backing up hastily, and in the blink of an eye, nobody was beside Zhou Minghu anymore; everyone in the sports major had abandoned him. Just yesterday, he was still the Overlord of the whole college among thousands of students in Yulan’s College but today, he had become all alone in an instant. Even those who were initially waiting to be delegated were stunned and started backstepping in a hurry. They caught hold of the situation and knew that they could no longer follow Zhou Minghu anymore.
Lin Huai looked at the gang leaders from other majors and bellowed out, “For those who want to follow me, step over to my side; for those for who want to be on the fence, just stay where you are; and for those who want to help Zhou Minghu, you can go and stand behind Zhou Minghu.”
Everyone from the business major followed Lin Huai, and the remaining computer science majors also walked over, followed by those in the English major, education major. In the end, everyone stood behind Lin Huai.
Lin Huai turned his gaze to the sports majors and said word by word, “You only have one option, which is either to obey me or be eradicated!”
The sports majors looked at each other; Zhou Minghu, who was their Big Boss, had already deserted them and if they did not obey Lin Huai, the first thing Lin Huai would do after this was to cause them trouble. Thus, the sports majors also walked over to Lin Huai’s side.
Gao Mengchao frowned as she watched things unfold and let out a soft sigh. Although it was their victory today, Lin Huai was the ultimate winner. From today onward, Lin Huai would be the Overlord of Yulan College.
“I have not lost yet!” Zhou Minghu looked like he had gone insane as he drew out a handgun from his pocket and pointed it toward Lin Huai. He shouted out, “Those who don’t come over to my side, I will put a bullet through your head!”
The school administrators, who had been hiding at a distance watching everything, came running over to them. The disciplinary teacher, Zhang Dabiao, ran the fastest while shouting, “Zhou Minghu, have you gone crazy? Put the gun down, or else no one will be able to save you today!”
“Shut your mouth!” Zhou Minghu who had been standing at the peak of Yulan College all this time was completely enraged. He turned around and aimed his gun at Zhang Dabio, who was startled and stopped in his tracks.
The principal and the others quickly ran to Zhang Dabiao’s side but as soon as they saw the gun in Zhou Minghu’s hand, they had a look of terror on their faces.
The principal who seemed like a cultured person was so horrified that his face had turned pale. He swiftly raised his hands while saying apologetically, “We can talk things out and discuss the matter. Zhou Minghu, put your gun away and I will give you my word that you will be able to leave the school safely today. They wouldn’t dare lay their hands on you.”
“Leave the school safely? Why would I leave?” Zhou Minghu was about to go nuts as he screamed, “This is Yulan College, the dark side of Yulan College belongs to me. They are the ones that should leave! You old coot, I want you to expel everybody who has betrayed me. I want you to expel Lin Huai and Gao Mengchao and make them leave Yulan College!”
Gao Mengchao looked at Zhou Minghu in an empathetic manner but she was not letting her guard down; she thought that Zhou Minghu would just dejectedly withdraw himself from this fight but he went crazy instead.
At this moment, the whole place fell silent and everyone did not dare to utter a single word. All of them could see that Zhou Minghu was at the verge of going berserk and they did not want to provoke him to open fire by saying something wrong. Moreover, nobody wanted to take the risk and become the unlucky one.
Wu Jun whispered, “He has a gun, Brother Huai. What should we do?”
Lin Huai seemed to have turned a deaf ear to him and started walking slowly toward Zhou Minghu.
Zhou Minghu suddenly turned his gun barrel around and aimed it at Lin Huai. His face looked vicious and he clenched his jaw as he shouted, “Especially you, Lin Huai. You’re the one who started everything. I will kill you!”
Pu Chengji yelled out, “He’s going crazy, Brother Huai. Come back quickly!”
“Yeah, Brother Huai.” Wu Mengji also shouted out in worry. “This brat is possessed, he’s not worth your life!”
There were tears in Liu Meiqi’s eyes as she shouted out to Lin Huai. She rushed forward but Gao Mengchao pulled her back and shook her head. She watched on coldly but thought that if that gun was fired, the two Tigers would fight among themselves and injure each other; Lin Huai and Zhou Minghu will have to leave Yulan College and that might be a good thing after all.
Cold sweat started breaking out in Lin Huai’s palms, but his mind was wandering wild. He thought of Wei Qimian’s attachment toward the school; the adorable lady teacher who nearly lost her life for the sake of the college; and Zhou Minghu who had lost his mind for wanting to sell drugs. His fists slowly clenched tighter and the blood in his heart burned with righteousness.
What justice would there be if a mere gun barrel could extinguish the righteousness within him.
