The Great Trump Card - Chapter 98
Chapter 98 Lin Huai’s New Operation
That night, Lin Huai lay in bed, tossing and turning around as he was still thinking about what happened outside the toilet today, feeling extremely confused and disturbed.
All of a sudden, he turned over to sit up and shouted to the people in the dormitory, “Get up, all of you!”
As soon as their leader spoke, everyone sat up and looked at Lin Huai.
Lin Huai said with a serious look on his face, “I plan to bring you guys along to something big tomorrow.”
“Oh? What big event?” Wu Mengjie asked excitedly.
“Hah! I like big events too.” Fan Hanning was excited as well. Although Fan Hanning and Zhuang Bifan were not qualified to become the Red Cane or White Paper Fan, their position had changed for the better now that Lin Huai was currently in power. On normal days, they held their heads high in college. However, they felt as though they were not capable enough, other than showing off their authority, as Lin Huai seemed to not need them anymore. As a result, they were all feeling dejected, so now that they heard that they were going to do something big once again, they were in high spirits.
Seeing everyone’s excitement, Lin Huai felt content. He remembered how it was when he first arrived at the dormitory—the dormitory was lifeless. Even if they were beaten, they did not dare to speak up. But now, whenever they knew that they were going in for a fight, they were all pumped up. Although Lin Huai did not like violence, it was still better than being beaten by other people like a good-for-nothing.
Lin Huai smiled and said, “I’m bringing all of you to fight tomorrow. Let’s teach that Xuan Yuzhai a lesson!”
After they heard what he said, everyone jumped onto the floor, looking ready to fight.
Zhuang Bifan was the first to yell, “Brother Huai, it’s time that Xuan Yuzhai learned a lesson. How dare they try to frame us?!”
Lin Huai could not help but laugh out loud and everyone laughed along. Zhuang Bifan was confused as he asked in puzzlement, “Did I say something wrong? What are you all laughing at?”
Wu Mengjie patted Zhuang Bifan’s shoulder and laughed as he said, “You’re amazing, bro! You dare to even take on Xuan Yuzhai now? I vaguely remember someone almost peeing himself in his pants whenever we mentioned Xuan Yuzhai.”
Zhuang Bifan awkwardly said, “Erm… let’s not talk about the past. That happened ages ago.”
Wu Mengjie laughingly said, “It doesn’t seem to be that far back. The incident happened not too long ago.”
Zhuang Bifan’s face was blushing as he forced a little laugh.
Lin Huai smiled as he said, “Wu Mengjie, stop making fun of him. Zhuang Bifan has already improved himself. Young people should have this kind of mindset; we don’t bully other people, but we don’t allow other people to bully us either. If we can’t accept it, we fight it!”
Zhuang Bifan straightened his posture and said, “You’re right, Brother Huai! I’ve improved so much!”
Everyone started laughing riotously. To them, Xuan Yuzhai was an undefeatable existence, but now, after Lin Huai led everyone in uniting the whole college, they were more confident in him than before. They probably thought nothing of the earlier Zhang Chunlei, let alone Xuan Yuzhai.
Lin Huai smiled gently and said, “Xuan Yuzhai has transferred to another college and it is not too far from here. I’ve found out about this from the others and plan to visit him one of these days to send him my greetings. Let’s all skip college tomorrow. I’m giving you permission to skip class for a day. Let’s go and teach that scheming guy a lesson!”
Fan Hanning was the more mature one. He asked, “Brother Huai, is it only the few of us? Shouldn’t we bring more people?”
Lin Huai laughed. “What do we need more people for? He’s attending Tongcheng Business College and that’s nothing compared to Yulan College where there are ferocious predators everywhere.”
Wu Jun smirked. “Let’s bring our weapons tomorrow. We’ll get rid of anyone who gets in our way!”
Hearing what Lin Huai and Wu Jun said, everyone nodded in agreement. Although they were only going for a fight in another college, they were still enthusiastic.
Lin Huai went back to lie on his bed, smiling as he said, “That’s enough. Let’s all go to bed now. I’ll take you guys to have some fun tomorrow!”
Lin Huai thought to himself, That’s it! You happen to be unlucky. I’m feeling vexed right now and I plan to take it all out on you by giving you a beating tomorrow.
Never in his wildest dreams would Xuan Yuzhai imagine that he would become a punching bag because of a certain Liu Meiqi whom he knew nothing about.
The next day, Lin Huai and everyone in his dormitory skipped class. They even brought along Pu Chengji. As for Dao Zi, Lin Huai did not call him as he was a lethal weapon who would stab a person anytime he wanted; and Lin Huai dared not bring him along. It would be better for him to only appear at crucial moments.
Lin Huai, Pu Chengji, Wu Jun, Wu Mengjie, Fan Hanning, Zhuang Bifan, and Zhang Hongwei all left Yulan College in a formidable array and strode toward the business college.
As the whole area was a college compound, Tongcheng Business College was located not too far away. Lin Huai had long inquired about the class Xuan Yuzhai was in; he found out about it from Wan Zitao. As Wan Zitao hated Xuan Yuzhai to the core, he told Lin Huai everything he knew about Xuan Yuzhai with no filter.
After walking for about ten minutes, they arrived at Tongcheng Business College. A forty-year-old looking guard immediately walked over to stop them from entering. His gaze flickered as he sized up Lin Huai and the others. He sounded a little nervous as he asked, “You… are all of you attending this college?”
“Yes, sir! We’re all students from this college and we’re already late. Why are you stopping us?” Lin Huai smiled.
Lin Huai sounded polite when he was talking, but the guard was sweating profusely as he forced a smile and said, “Well… What are those things you are holding?”
Lin Huai raised both his hands and answered, “I have nothing in my hands. They are empty. Why don’t you have a look at them yourself if you don’t believe me?”
The guard smiled helplessly and said, “I meant them.”
“Oh.” Lin Huai cast a glance at Wu Jun and the rest and saw them wielding machetes and clubs in their hands. They all looked fierce and up to no good.
Lin Huai’s eyes immediately widened as he shouted at them, “I’ve already told you guys to hide them! Hide them in your clothes! Are you trying to tell people that you’re here to start a fight?”
Upon hearing what he said, all of them lost their spirits a little and immediately hid their weapons in their clothes.
This time around, Lin Huai turned to look at the guard and smiled, “Sir, they’re not holding anything. We’re all good kids who are here to attend class. We neither fight nor quarrel; we’ve never caused any trouble and we’re determined to study hard and make good progress every day.”
The guard rolled his eyes at them. Do you think I’m stupid? You hid your weapons in your clothes right in front of me and you expect me to not see that? There’s also that bespectacled, plump guy… He just stuck his bat into his trousers and it’s just too obvious, okay? Who on earth has a phallus that big in their crotch? Does he think he’s from Afia or something?
Lin Huai laughingly asked, “Sir, will you allow us—a bunch of good students—to enter?”
As he was talking, Lin Huai marched straight into the college compound without a care in the world and the rest of them followed behind. The guard wanted to stop them when Wu Jun gave him a long, hard stare and showed him the machete that he was hiding under his clothes. The guard shivered in fear and immediately took two steps backward. I didn’t see anything… he thought to himself.
As they entered the college, they saw a group of students playing basketball. Lin Huai grabbed one of the guys by the shoulder and asked with a smile on his face, “Do you know where Xuan Yuzhai from the second year is? Can you bring us to him?”
“Who are you?” The guy looked unruly.
Wu Mengjie took out his machete and stuck it close to the guy’s lower abdomen.
“I’ll bring you. Let me… let me bring you to him…”
