Chapter 16: Don’t You Look Down On Me, Saint

“Kill me then if you think that I was a spy who ruined the sacrificial ceremony on purpose,” Feng Ruchu said and closed her eyes as if she had accepted the fact that she was going to be killed.
The hall was silent after what Feng Ruchu said.
The Saint narrowed his eyes and cracked a smile as he looked at Feng Ruchu who became so dramatic while telling the sad story of herself.
“You certainly have the gift of the gab,” said the Saint emotionlessly after a while.
This cunning little girl.
She had first tried to flatter him by mentioning how he was capable of killing the ancient beast, and then she started telling him sad stories of herself, about how miserable her life was and how weak she was…
She was basically telling him that if he indeed killed her out of rage, he would be killing a defenceless little girl with the same hand that he had used to kill the ancient beast.
She had also cleverly reminded him about her getting hurt by Feng Mo’er earlier.
Wouldn’t it be unfair and even shameless if the Saint were to kill her now?
Then again, was someone who had killed a spiritual beast, and tricked Feng Mo’er who had nearly broken through the nascent soul stage, really a defenceless little girl?
“What is your name?” He needed to do a background check.
“Feng Ruchu,” said Feng Ruchu honestly. There was no need for her to deceive or hide when it came to the Saint.
“Feng Ruchu…” The Saint repeated her name softly. He found the name familiar but could not recall when and where he had come across it before. If he could recall it though, she wasn’t just anyone.
“How old are you?” The Saint asked again.
“Sixteen.”
The Saint was speechless and observed the girl again before saying, “You don’t look sixteen, more like twelve or thirteen.”
Feng Ruchu was annoyed by how the Saint stared at her so unrestrainedly even though there was a veil between them. Also, the suspicious tone the Saint had used hurt her pride.
The her in the 21st century was way hotter with her fair skin, long legs, perky breasts, and tiny waist!
“I am sixteen! Do you think you can look down on others just because you are the Saint? Yes, I’m malnourished now, but just wait till I have gotten all the nutrition that I need!” Feng Ruchu patted her chest and said angrily while glaring at the veil.
“What happens after you get all the nutrition that you need?” The Saint asked casually, a hint of playfulness in his voice.
She really did look underweight for a girl of sixteen.
Feng Mo’er was fifteen, and had grown into a beautiful young lady under the comfortable environment she had, unlike Feng Ruchu who looked like a baby chicken who had just learned how to walk.
“That is none of your concern. Shouldn’t someone as old as Your Grace be meditating, understanding the Dhyana, gardening, walking your bird, and living a relaxed life like any other old man-” Feng Ruchu could sense that the Saint was teasing her and retorted immediately, not happy to be made fun of.
Before she could finish her sentence, she felt a breeze and floral scent wash over her.
And a man appeared before her out of thin air.
He was wearing white, flowing attire that looked like it was glowing, and his hair flowed like a river.
