Chapter 12: I’m Not Blessed Enough to Be Worthy of Jiang Fu

The air seemed to freeze, and the room instantly fell silent.
Mrs. Qi’s fingers trembled. She crossed her hands, looked down at her toes, and silently took a step back.
Old Madam Xie immediately raised her hand and was about to throw the teacup in her hand.
Xie Cheng was stunned for a moment.
“Grandmother, let’s talk nicely.”
Mrs. Qi nodded in agreement. Although the Xie family was a general’s family, the old lady was still a noble lady with a noble title. It was not good that she was angry.
In the end, Old Madam Xie did not smash the cup. The tea in the white jade cup spilled out. Fortunately, it was not very hot.
The old lady lowered her head and picked up the handkerchief. As she lowered her eyes and wiped the tea stains from her hands, she said calmly, “I won’t send Ah Fu away.”
Xie Cheng tilted his head slightly and looked at the old lady. He slowly raised his eyebrows. “What should we do if we don’t send her away? Raise her?”
Old Madam Xie snorted coldly. She threw her silk handkerchief stained with tea on the table and looked up. The whites of her eyes were a little yellow, but her gaze was sharp.
“I know what you’re thinking.”
Xie Cheng: “Oh? What is your grandson thinking?”
The jade pendant of her red tassel wrapped around her finger spun gently. Its owner was evidently indifferent.
Old Madam Xie spun the bracelet on her wrist and finally calmed down. She glanced at the sloppy person over there before turning around. She looked ahead and said in a protective tone, “Aren’t you just afraid that I’ll force you to marry Ah Fu?”
“Don’t worry about that. What about you? You were considered a good person in the past. You’re quite good-looking and are in a high position. You’re barely worthy of Ah Fu, but now…”
Xie Cheng paused again.
A pair of dark eyes stared at the old lady with obvious absurdity and shock.
“There are many young talents in Yandu. I’ll find one for Ah Fu later. You’re not lucky enough. You can only let others have her.” The old lady sighed and added.
Mrs. Qi couldn’t help but look up at Xie Cheng.
The jade pendant in Xie Cheng’s hand fell to his side. He stared at the old lady and found it unbelievable.
He was rather unlucky.

After Old Madam Xie was helped away by Mrs. Qi, Eleven quietly ran in.
Xie Cheng leaned there, thinking about something. When he saw Eleven enter, he leaned there and crossed his arms. “Why are you acting so sneakily?”
Eleven closed the door and window and ran to Xie Cheng. With a serious expression, he said, “General, I suspect that Miss Jiang Fu might not be human.”
Xie Cheng was stunned for a moment.
Eleven raised his hand to his mouth and said mysteriously, “I suspect that Miss Jiang Fu is a vixen!”
Xie Cheng raised his hand expressionlessly and clapped sarcastically. “Wow.”
Eleven squatted beside him and looked mysterious. “Guess what I heard outside just now?”
Xie Cheng did not respond.
The doors and windows were closed, and the surroundings were quiet.
Eleven looked serious. “I heard from the old lady that there are many young talents in Yandu. She wants to find one for Jiang Fu later. And you…”
Xie Cheng squinted his eyes and said faintly, “I’m not lucky enough to be worthy of Jiang Fu.”
Eleven was slightly stunned, then nodded. “Yes, that’s what the old lady said. She said you injured your leg and are not worthy of Jiang Fu.”
Xie Cheng was speechless.
He looked up, his Adam’s apple bobbing. ‘What else?’
