After giving clear instructions, Han Feng took his leave. Minister Guan from the Ministry of Education and Principal Liang watched his car leave before letting out a sigh of relief.
Minister Guan wiped off the cold sweat on his forehead. He scanned his surroundings before walking toward Principal Liang. He spoke secretively, “About that… Old Liang, is everything settled?”
Principal Liang did not know what he was referring to, but indeed, there wasn’t a problem. He still felt that something was off about Minister Guan, so he asked, “You are not planning anything, right? I can tell you this directly, I would not help you if you wanted to hook up with any female students!”
Minister Guan was speechless. Hell, did he look so indecent?
“What are you thinking about?!” the Minister was so angry that he jumped. He continued, “Do I look like I would do that sort of thing? I just wanted to know if you have anything on. If you are free, I have something to discuss with you.”
Principal Liang was curious, so he immediately asked, “Nope, what would I be busy with…” He felt that saying he was free the entire day did not sound nice, so Principal Liang quickly corrected himself, “Ehm…I have finished my work and I’m almost done with the documents too. Just speak your mind about anything, Minister Guan.”
“It’s—” Minister Guan took a glance in the direction where the classroom buildings were located and whispered, “About Hong Xiaofu, I think we need to help him apply for the bursary and lighten his burden.”
Principal Liang grinned widely when he heard that. He said excitedly, “He can really apply for that?”
Minister Guan was wiping the cold sweat off his forehead again as he said, “I would definitely do my best to fight for him, but I do have one condition. You must keep him in check and refrain from visiting the Ministry of Education for unimportant matters, remember this! Tell him to look for you if he needs help with anything. As long as his requests are reasonable, I would do my best to approve them for him!”
He had seen Zhang Yang kneel with his own eyes. He had gotten onto his knees in an instant while still lifting weights…it showed that no one knew when Hong Xiaofu’s power would come into action. It was like a time bomb. If he had gone to the Ministry one day and the time bomb exploded, he might have ended up on his knees and it would have been a disaster.
Did he not see that even Director Han Feng from the Awakeners Ability Centre had run off as fast as a hare? Who would not be threatened by such a power?
“About that…” Principal Liang looked at him, and suddenly thought that Hong Xiaofu was his lucky charm. How could he not make use of that good chance?
“Minister Guan.” Principal Liang was smiling like a fox. He smirked, “This is a small matter. You know, it has been hard on our school. There are teachers who have been working here for more than twenty years, but the list for board positions has not been released. Could you do something…?
Minister Guan frowned. The man surely knew how to take his chance. He had just stated his terms a moment before and Liang was already taking advantage of it?
“Principal Liang.” Minister Guan looked at him from the corner of his eye and said, “Are you doing this right? You are aware that it is not easy for us to release the board positions…”
Principal Liang crossed his fingers to support his chin. He laughed coldly while looking at Minister Guan, “I just remembered that we have some documents left at the Ministry. Hong Xiaofu is actually one of the more hardworking pupils, and you even approved his bursary. Shall I ask him to thank you personally and get the documents back as well?”
Minister Guan panicked.
“No! I appreciate your kind thoughts!” he rushed to pacify, “About the postings… it is… ahem. Don’t worry about that, I will fight hard for it! Definitely!”
Principal Liang felt genuinely happy. That was the first time talking to him had been easy.
“There’s one more thing.” Principal Liang became serious and continued, “Mr Li Hong is Hong Xiaofu’s Class Mentor. Last year he was awarded the title of Most Outstanding Teacher, and he has been working for many years. His first class teacher qualifications should not be a problem either, right?”
Come to think of it, Li Hong had been staying in the school for a full four years after he graduated from university. By right, the first class teacher qualifications should not be a problem. Principal Liang was just taking the chance to make sure it would be settled, in case any problem arose. Other than Li Hong, there were more than ten other teachers who had to get that qualification—perhaps he should just list them all out…
“This is not an issue.” Minister Guan was still dependable for such affairs. He said, “We would not turn away those with an excellent performance. Don’t beat around the bush with me. In September this year, all the teachers who have been here for long including him will get their first class teacher qualifications. Will this do?”
Principal Liang rushed to express his gratitude, “Thank you MInister Guan!”
After dismissing Minister Guan, Principal Liang hummed happily as he walked back to the school. He was in an extremely good mood. The postings he had been troubling over had finally been resolved. He couldn’t be blamed for being so overly happy. Anyone in the education industry would know how hard it was to get to high postings.
“Hong Xiaofu is seriously my lucky charm.” Principal Liang said to himself, “I have to tell Li Hong about this when I get back—that Hong Xiaofu will be receiving his bursary. With such good news, Hong Xiaofu would not use his power against me no matter how much he can’t control it, right?”
He rubbed his chin, “Hmm, but just to play it safe, I have to warn him that he should not come here for unnecessary reasons…”

When Hong Xiaofu and Su Ying arrived back to class, Zhao Ming immediately went over and asked, “Hey, what did that Director Han talk about?”
“He didn’t talk about much.” Hong Xiaofu placed the Awakener’s Manual onto the table and explained, “He just gave this to me.”
“The Awakener’s Training Manual!” Zhao Ming’s eyes brightened up when he saw the book, “Shit, there is such a thing? I always thought that you are fine as long as you have Awakened. You actually have to practice for that?”
“You are stating the obvious.” Su Ying looked at him as if he was a fool, and asked, “Didn’t you hear Mr Li Hong talk about this? Currently the strongest Awakener in the country is someone from the Elemental System Level Four who is in the army right now. He can handle burning hot weapons. If he hadn’t practiced, how would he have been able to reach Level Four?”
“You are right.” Zhao Ming nodded his head in agreement. He reached for the manual and started flipping through it happily. He returned it to Hong Xiaofu after a while and said, “Okay let’s leave this aside first. Xiaofu what is your plan for tonight?”
That’s right. They were having dinner that night. Hong Xiaofu replied, “Isn’t everything settled? I’ll go home to fetch my sister first. What about you?”
“I don’t have anything on.” Zhao Ming continued, “Shall I drive to pick you up?”
“Sure.” Hong Xiaofu agreed immediately, “Let’s go with that.”
Since everything was settled, the remaining time would go by quickly.
After a few lessons, the school bell signaling the end of the school day rang. Li Hong had been waiting outside the classroom. When he saw Hong Xiaofu leave, he waved at him and said, “Xiaofu, come over for a moment.”
“Mr Li.” Hong Xiaofu was friendly toward his Class Mentor. He walked over quickly and asked, “What’s the matter?”
“There’s good news!” Li Hong patted on his shoulder as he smiled, “Congratulations, your bursary has been approved. It will be three thousand dollars every month, you will not have to be a replacement gamer anymore!”
