Chapter 41: Hong Xiaofu, The Gang Leader

Year 3 Class 4.

Li Tianqi sat at his desk, feeling dejected. For an Awakener who had the power of recovery and speed, the attack suffered earlier on had meant nothing. What mattered, however, was his pride.

That power was too threatening. It could even work in so many ways! Who would be able to handle it?

Zhang Yang sat with half his bottom onto Li Tianqi’s table. He was laughing out loud as he patted his shoulder and said, “Hahaha! Little brother, I know you don’t feel too good now. However… hahaha! How did that saying go again? Just get used to it and you will be fine…”

“Get lost!” Li Tianqi lost his temper. After kneeling before Hong Xiaofu, he had to endure the mocking from Zhang Yang! How was he supposed to get through it?

“I didn’t expect that to happen.” Zhang Yang was feeling great. He continued, “I thought I had it bad enough since I knelt down twice. I didn’t think that you would suffer worse than me! Ha! Shot in the knee! You really got shot in the knee!”

Li Tianqi covered his ears firmly. Why was he so annoying? He was already feeling so bad—he did not have to rub it in.

There was, however, no way around that. Since they had made a bet on it, he had to admit defeat.

“Can you stop talking about it?” Li Tianqi kicked the table furiously and said, “I admit that I lost to you, but can you not destroy my feelings like this?!”

“Huh? I did?” Zhang Yang gave him an innocent look. He opened his eyes wide and replied, “Am I devastating you? I don’t think so, I’m merely stating the facts. Am I not allowed to say the facts now?”

Li Tianqi, “…”

What the hell! He really wanted to strangle that brat!

As they were talking, they heard commotion outside the classroom. They both turned their heads to look outside and saw Su Ying and Hong Xiaofu walking toward them.

The moment he spotted them, Li Tianqi felt incredibly uncomfortable.

He was already very bitter—were they there to give him more trouble?

“Erm… Li Tianqi, I’m sorry. I didn’t know that would happen…” Su Ying apologized immediately after stepping into the classroom and she rushed to ask, “Is your leg fine?”

Zhang Yang rushed to speak before Li Tianqi could say anything. “He is perfectly fine. You don’t know about this yet, right? He has been Awakened, an Awakener of recovery and speed. His powers are pretty awesome too, although a little weaker than mine…”

“Recovery and speed?” Su Ying immediately felt relieved after hearing that. She smiled as she patted on her chest in relief—it was already pumped up for the breath she had been holding—and said, “That’s good, that’s good. I was just so shocked. I was worried that I might have disabled you…”

“Haha! Why would I be injured from such a minor thing?” Li Tianqi would not be timid in front of girls, so he stood up immediately, lifted his trousers and said, “I have recovered long ago! Let me tell you, my recovery power is great!”

Tianqi was confused, right? He would look for his own supporter. He was curious to know whether Tianqi was scared of being backed up by him.

“Ahem…you are right.” Zhang Yang coughed lightly and agreed with Li Tianqi, “It is definitely amazing to have Brother Fu in our school, he is unstoppable!”

Hong Xiaofu, “…”

“Don’t make me sound so fierce.” Hong Xiaofu quickly shook his head and added, “I’m a pacifist…”

The students in the area nodded in agreement and said, “Yes, a pacifist!”

That guy was unbeatable with his powers. No one could go against him!

Once they had made sure that Li Tianqi was fine, they walked back to their classroom. On the way there, Zhang Yang asked carefully, “Brother Fu, do you know what exactly happened?”

Hong Xiaofu looked at him with a confused expression and answered, “I’m not sure. What happened?”

“Li Tianqi has Awakened and he has been acting all cocky.” Zhang Yang told Hong Xiaofu, “He said that he would not give in to anyone in school. So I told him that if he was really that great, he should have looked for you!”

Su Ying was dumbfounded for a moment before she asked, “That’s why he came?”

“Obviously.” Zhang Yang continued, “That guy was so arrogant, he even said that he could represent our school! Of course I had to see it, so I followed along. Then you know what happened in the end. He was already on his knees before he even walked to you…”

Su Ying, “…”

Hong Xiaofu, “…”

Zhang Yang thought it was amazing, and continued, “I look up to you so much, Brother Fu! Now you don’t even do anything yourself to make the other person kneel! Make them get on their knees clearly!”

He really was afraid!

No one really understood how Hong Xiaofu’s power worked. He was literally summoning energy from Heaven and Earth to get people on their knees!

However, with his power only, he had already made a handful of people kneel down… and they were all Awakeners, too!

Zhang Yang, of course, was the first Awakener of the school. Li He was also a strong Awakener of the fire system. And now Li Tianqi had joined the list of people who had ended up on their knees.

Saying that Hong Xiaofu was like the gang leader of the school was nothing short of the truth.

“It’s been alright.” Shen Xiaoling nodded and pouted her lips before saying, “I was a little bored. Brother, should we go out for a walk? I want to eat candied gourd!”

He would never say no to his sister. He agreed right away, “Sure, we shall go for a walk on the streets today. Let’s eat something there too. Aren’t you always mumbling that you want to eat noodles? Let’s go and have some ramen today.”

When Shen Xiaoling heard that, her eyes lit up, “Okay!”
