Fang Lin made a firm decision to proceed with his plan. Instantly, he took a seat next to the black cauldron and began to circulate the Divine Nine Cauldrons Passage in his body.
Wisps of very obscure black aura were unleashed from the black cauldron before transforming into a stream of fine airflow that flowed into Fang Lin’s body through his mouth. The very moment the black aura entered his body, his entire face flushed scarlet and his forehead was covered in sweat as if he had just eaten jalapeno chilies.
A moment later, he stopped. His face was a tidal wave of scarlet while enormous drops of sweat streamed down his face from his forehead. Panting loudly, he appeared to be extremely fatigued, but his eyes were glowing brightly in excitement.
I’m still adapting to the process of absorbing cauldron energy for the first time. However, the cauldron energy is genuinely quite beneficial for me. I think that I can attempt to break through to the level-6 primordial man realm after absorbing it for half a month.
Just as Fang Lin was about to continue the absorption, a violent knocking was heard coming from the door all of a sudden.
“Hey, you inside, come out now!” A bold yet rampant voice was heard on the other side of the door.
Fang Lin frowned ever so slightly. He closed his eyes and disregarded it. Anyhow, this place was guarded by an array, so the person outside would be deranged if he were to attempt to come in by force.
The knocking continued ceaselessly.
Bang, bang, bang!
It was agitating, but Fang Lin had his eyes closed and his attention was focused on absorbing the cauldron energy like he was an old meditating monk as if he was completely oblivious to the agitating knocking noises.
Outside the alchemy room, a chubby youth with a stormy expression rapped his strong, thick arm and continuously knocked on the alchemy room door.
The person by his side was Kang Lu who looked as if he was anticipating something.
He was the one who called the chubby youth, a medium-grade disciple named Yuan Bo. He always occupied alchemy room number nine of the Yellow Building. The rest of the disciples were aware that Yuan Bo loved to use this alchemy room, so they dared not fight him for it.
Despite being a medium-grade disciple, Yuan Bo was famous for being a shameless, unreasonable slacker that relied on his muscles to bully others. In addition to that, his father was an elder of the alchemy sect. As a result, not many people in the sect had the courage to offend him.
Even though he was just a medium-grade disciple, many of the high-grade disciples refused to oppose him.
Once upon a time, a low-grade disciple with an exaggerated opinion of his abilities seized the opportunity to occupy alchemy room number nine when Yuan Bo was not around. As a result, he was severely injured after coming out of the room and almost died.
On the other hand, Yuan Bo’s action went unpunished because of his father’s presence. He was only grounded for a short period of time as a mild penalty. After completing his sentence, he continued to be the rampant bully that he was before.
Yuan Bo never expected his alchemy room to be occupied by someone else when he joined his friends to have a meal outside for a short while.
“How is that permissible? How dare someone actually have the audacity to take my alchemy room? How can I not turn this person inside out?”
Yuan Bo was an aggressive person, so he jogged over and began smashing the door in an attempt to vent the pent up anger in his chest. To his fury, the person inside the room did not give the slightest response. Yuan Bo’s expression turned more and more unpleasant. Does this little vermin have any respect for me?
“B*st*rd, come out now. Otherwise, I’m gonna take that sorry *ss life of yours!” Yuan Bo roared in rage before he pounded the door twice again. His hand was already hurting from pounding too hard.
The people in the nearby alchemy rooms stuck out their heads to check out what was going on. Some were watching the scene in displeasure, but they retreated back to their rooms in fear when they noticed Yuan Bo’s presence. They were afraid that they would bring trouble upon themselves. Two to three disciples had no fear of Yuan Bo, so they continued watching for fun.
“This is getting interesting. Someone is actually daring enough to occupy Yuan Bo’s alchemy room!”
“I wonder who is that courageous. Yuan Bo isn’t a man to be messed about with.”
“The person is going to have a hard time. Yuan Bo’s beating is more than just the ordinary savagery.”
“I think the person is terrified too. He must be hiding inside now.”
“Heh heh. He may be able to hide for a while but not for a lifetime.”
…
Numerous alchemy sect disciples gathered and began discussing the situation at once. Many people sympathized with the person hiding inside the alchemy room while some thrived on schadenfreude and just wanted to watch the scene for fun.
Kang Lu hid in the midst of the crowd, feeling rather smug in his heart. At the same time, he anticipated the scene where Yuan Bo would mercilessly beat Fang Lin up.
Meanwhile, an elder came upon receiving the news. He demanded while frowning, “What’s going on? Who’s causing trouble here?”
When he looked around and noticed that the person scolding and cursing aloud was Yuan Bo, he felt troubled at once. No one wanted to be get involved with Yuan Bo the bully. However, it was inevitable now. The middle-aged elder could only walk over and look at Yuan Bo unpleasantly. He asked, “What are you doing here?”
Yuan Bo showed no fear when he saw the elder. “Some naive idiot has occupied my alchemy room. I’ve cornered him now, so he’s afraid that he can’t get out.”
There was no need for Yuan Bo to explain himself because the elder was aware of the situation too. However, he did not have the capacity to settle this matter. Even if he wanted to, there was nothing he could do.
“So, it’s best if you can keep it to yourself and not disturb the others. Is that okay?” the elder responded.
Yuan Bo pursed his lips, appearing oblivious to the elder’s words.
The elder felt helpless, so he said to the disciples who crowded around them, “Scram! What are you trying to do by standing around here?”
Quite a lot of people scattered away, but some remained standing in the distance to watch the exciting scene.
“Elder Lu, what do you have to say about this matter?” said Yuan Bo while sneering.
Elder Lu lowered his voice to speak at once when he noticed that most of the disciples had left, “Can’t you please calm yourself down for a moment? Don’t make things difficult for me.”
Yuan Bo scoffed once and said, “I’m not the person looking for trouble this time. It’s the boy inside who’s not behaving himself. My alchemy room shouldn’t be occupied by anyone so casually. If the boy refuses to come out today, then I shall block him tonight as well. I’ll stay until he comes out.”
Upon listening to his words, Elder Lu felt disconcerted. He cursed and scolded in his heart. ‘Which naive fool is this? Why did he go into Yuan Bo’s alchemy room anyway? Tell me, boy, are you looking for trouble for yourself?’
Yuan Bo cracked into a cold smile. He had no fear for any elder because his father was an elder of the alchemy sect too. Moreover, he had a close relationship with the first elder. It could be said that Yuan Bo could do anything he wanted in the alchemy sect without suffering severe consequences as long as he did not commit any murder or arson.
There was nothing Elder Lu could do, thus he could only shout at the person inside the alchemy room, “You inside, come out now! ”
Upon saying that, it was all pin-drop silent. On the other hand, not a squeak was heard from alchemy room number nine. It was as if there was no one in the room at all.
