Chapter 18: Three Types Of People

Lan Jiao was quite confident about her physical quality. Even if she was not 100% sure that she would pass the entry examination, she did not care much about the result right now.
She had to counter these annoying people who were trying to pick on her.
At least, she was sure that she was capable of making this participant feel jealous of herself for a long time.
“Haha, we all know how to brag. You can say what you want, but you can’t pass the examination by just talking!”
That hostile participant seemed to be determined to compete with Lan Jiao, and countered Lan Jiao’s every word.
The girl with long braids, who had asked Lan Jiao the question a moment ago, expressed her solidarity towards Lan Jiao instantly. “I believe you!”
Having said the words, she looked at the local participant who had scolded Lan Jiao. “Zhu You, just wait and see!”
“Bah! Sure, let’s just wait and see. If she is able to pass the entry examination, you can take my head and kick it like a ball!” Zhu You looked contemptuously at her, making a harsh vow in anger.
“Okay, it’s a deal!” The long-braided girl was annoyed now and decided to compete with Zhu You from that moment on.
Seeing that the bet was made between them two, Lan Jiao did not offer any persuasion.
She had been mocked and belittled. She was feeling furious at the moment.
She needed to pass the entry examination and slap this man’s face with her actions!
But with thousands of participants, no big deal was brought out of the crowd because of this small conflict she caused.
On this scorching desert, the participants who were supposed to take the entry examination, waited for one more day before they saw another spaceship coming through the atmospheric layer and landing on the sand not far away.
This was a small-sized spaceship. Its surface was golden and had a diameter of about 50 meters.
The spaceship might be small, but anyone with the most basic knowledge also would not look down upon this spaceship.
As far as Lan Jiao could remember, this spaceship was different from the few ones that she had seen before.
This one was like those luxurious cars on Lan Jiao’s planet, small yet expensive.
It was like drawing a comparison between the buses, which were big in size yet cost only a few hundreds of thousands of yuan and a Maserati car which was small yet cost millions.
The door of the spaceship was opened. The floating staircase supported by the antigravity system opened up and a 17 year old, pretty boy with long hair stepped out. He was slender and his height was well over 180cm. He was dressed in a white tuxedo.
He had fair skin, blonde hair and green eyes. He had a flat expression on his handsome face, looking cold and distant.
Standing on the golden-colored sand, the blonde boy ran a cursory glance through the participants, as if he did not care about the existence of these people.
Lan Jiao, who was also ignored, knew that despite the large number of participants, not many of them would be able to pass the examination in the end.
So, the number or the presence of these participants didn’t matter to anyone.
After the first small private-spaceship had landed, several other special small-sized spaceships appeared in the space.
But the large-sized spaceships which acted as the public transport in Interstellar, did not appear again.
That meant that the new participants were extremely rich!
The colorful spaceships were a symbol of their social status.
Lan Jiao noticed that apart from the locals of Planet Trash, dozens of young people who arrived later, were throwing glances at the blonde, long-haired boy every now and then. But none of them stepped forward to speak with him.
It seemed that the pretty boy was an exceptional being among all the high-level participants.
Following dozens of small-sized spaceships, two large ‘things’ arrived.
These silver-grey colored spaceships with metal surfaces were ten times bigger than the small-sized spaceships.
The door opened of these spaceships and hundreds of youngsters stepped out of them, one after another.
These people gathered as one group after they came out of the spaceship. They held themselves at a distance from the high-class youngsters.
It seemed that the participants were divided in three camps intangibly – the locals of Planet Trash, the noblities with private small-sized spaceships and the ordinary students. They sized each other up but did not bother to interact with one another.
Maybe the other two camps did not even consider looking at the locals from Planet Trash and Lan Jiao.
There were almost 5,000 – 6,000 participating locals of Planet Trash. On the other hand, the number barely reached 300 when the contestants of the other two camps were put together.
…
On the Alliance Star, tens of thousands of light years away from this mimicry planet…
In the distant-supervision control room of the Second Military School of Alliance, a beautiful lady mentor was seated in the white one-man coach. She was wearing a red, low-collar, well-fitted, fish-tail dress. She had a sexy body, and brown, wavy hair. She frowned at the sight of the hundreds of light shadow screens all around her.
“Is it true that the quality of this year’s participants is worse than that of the past years?”
The locals from Planet Trash could be ignored, but among the remaining 264 participants, they were barely ten youngsters who had spirit power or physical quality that had reached S level.
The remaining ones were here just to give them company!
Even if they managed to pass the entry examination and enter the Second Military School, they did not possess the ability to be cultivated as seed trainees.
It could be foreseen that they won’t earn many honors for the school.
“Don’t worry, there are still some spaceships with participants on the way. The participant numbers have tripled compared to that of last year. There should be some good ones.”
Seated on the right-hand side of this beautiful mentor called Jin Ling, the male mentor, Cheng Gong, dressed in black silk embroidery suit. He was also sitting on a similar one-man coach as Jin Ling.
Hearing his words, a chubby-looking mentor, Hao Pi, who had a slick-back hairstyle and a beard, said, “Actually, I am concerned about the elites sent by the major families. I heard that some people were sent here for the examinations from the Warband as well.”
Upon hearing these words, Jin Ling nodded in satisfaction.
“If that is the case, then the quality of the participants should be up to standard. Hopefully, more students get enrolled this year compared to the previous years.”
Last year, apart from the participants from Planet Trash who were just there to make up the number, only 28 participants out of the remaining 1,000 participants who successfully entered the school in the end.
Hopefully, there were fewer trash entries this year.
…
As the last large-sized spaceship landed on the hot desert surface, all the participants for the entry examination of Second Military School of Alliance had arrived.
