The Pet’s Temptation - Chapter 2
“What happened? Did Dong-myeong have another girl?”
Hae-Soo’s mother repeatedly asked her. The tumultuous hall became silent for a moment. Hae-Soo could feel people’s eyes focused on him. They were curious eyes as if they were expecting something interesting.
She took a deep breath after biting the flesh inside her mouth to resist the nausea. It would have been better if she fainted at this time, but unfortunately, her mind was clear.
“……I think so, don’t you think?”
Hae-Soo looked at her parents and shrugged her shoulders and opened her mouth. Lightly. And as if it’s nothing. But when she heard it, her mother immediately lost her mind and fell back.
“Hey, honey! Hae-Soo’s mom!”
In a word, there was a mess.

Someone grabbed Hae-Soo’s wrist filling the empty cup. She looked up at the glass, which was not even half full. A man in a suit stood right next to her, holding her by the wrist, when he came. Hae-Soo, who checked the man’s face, smiled brightly and opened his mouth.
“Our puppy is here, sit down. Auntie! A bowl of udon and a bottle of soju…….”
“All right, stop drinking. You’re drunk right now, too.”
After the man cut off Hae-Soo, he waved his hand at the cart bar owner as if to cancel the order she had just made. Then he sat across from Hae-Soo and immediately took the glass that had been placed in front of her.
“Hey, Kang Ha-Jin! That’s mine.”
“Why don’t you be cheap with something that’s not even a cup? If that’s the case, Noona has stolen a lot of my alcohol so far, isn’t it?”
The man, Ha-Jin, responded to Hae-Soo’s words and emptied the glass. Ha-Jin’s attitude as if nothing had happened, made Hae-Soo smile without realizing it and hardened his face. This is because his clothes were exactly the way he was dressed at the wedding.
“……I’ll change my clothes and come out.”
She looked down as she grumbled at Ha-Jin’s outfit. The empty soju bottles on the table reminded her of her pathetic self. At that moment, Ha-Jin’s voice was heard again.
“How’s auntie doing?”
“She just fainted for a second. She’s OK now. It was so nice that I ran away like this. I didn’t run away with anyone else at the wedding, but they’re trying to eat me up.”
After shaking off Hae-Soo’s sad feelings, she replied by pretending to be jestful and fed up with Ha-Jin’s question. But Ha-Jin frowned and looked serious despite her prank. Feeling frustrated again by the appearance, she shook her head and reached out to him.
“Puppy, relax your expression. Why are you being more serious than me?”
“Don’t call me that. Do you think I’m still a kid?”
“Oh, look at him You’re all grown up now, right?”
Hae-Soo stopped pulling Ha-Jin’s cheek and opened her eyes wide with her wrist held on by him.
“When I was young, the puppy who used to follow me is growling and saying they are all grown up. Time really flies. Oh, you’re trying to be sad.”
She pouted and shook her wrist. Then Ha-Jin immediately loosened his stiff expression and let go of Hae-Soo.
“But why are you sad? It’s just because you keep teasing me.”
Ha-Jin’s careful words made her wonder whether he was annoyed, and Hae-Soo managed to suppress the corners of her mouth from going up. As expected, Kang Ha-Jin has not changed since before. Of course, he is much taller and stronger than when he was young, but he is still only a ‘puppy’ Kang Ha-Jin in her eyes.
Anyway, thanks to him, her heavy heart became lighter. Hae-Soo took a deep breath, exhaled, and took out the words that were tightly contained in her heart with lamentation.
“At least you have manners. Even if you didn’t love me, it’s a courtesy to keep to people. No, it’s not just about me, but also about my parents and the people who came as guests. But Seo Dong-myeong, the man ran away irresponsibly, I don’t know where he sold such manners to. I can’t even get in touch with where he is.”
“Why would you call him?”
Ha-Jin was listening to Hae-Soo and narrowed his forehead by showing signs of dissatisfaction. Seawater glanced at him and squinted at him.
“That’s good. Some people curse at him instead of me. He’s strong. He’s loyal. Let’s make a toast to commemorate that.”
She picked up the soju bottle next to her with a grin. Then he dragged the glass he had taken back in front of me and poured the wine. However, he belatedly realized that there was only one glass and looked around and stood up from his seat.
“Wait a minute. I’ll bring another glass and a bottle of soju…… What!”
Hae-Soo staggered out of balance as she tried to turn. The edge of the plastic table came right in front of her, so she closed her eyes reflexively. However, there was no mishap, such as getting a forehead shot on the corner.
Instead, it was someone else’s hard arms that wrapped around her. At the same time, a sigh and a blow came from above the top of the head.
“You drank so much that you couldn’t control yourself. What more do you want to drink? You’re the one who’s waiting.”
