Chapter 39: Is the Great God Sick?
More than ten minutes later, Andre rushed to the bottom of the mountain on his skateboard.
He turned straight into a street and looked back. The pursuit team was still following him closely.
How persistent.
Andre controlled the direction of the skateboard while looking ahead.
A few minutes later, he landed in a parking lot with a wide view.
This was a hospital.
It was the largest hospital in Chicago.
There were many people in the hospital, and not every place was monitored. It was a good place to hide.
Andre rushed into the hospital and observed the hall in his field of view.
He was looking for a way to hide.
“Captain Hunter, Andre ran into the hospital.”
Hearing his subordinate’s report, Hunter immediately replied, “You guys enter the hospital as soon as possible. I’ll contact the hospital’s security and have them coordinate to block all the exits. He definitely won’t be able to escape.”
“Roger that. Don’t worry, Captain Hunter. We’ll be there in two minutes at most.”
Hunter had been staring at the scene in front of him the entire time. The members of the escape program team around him remained silent.
The atmosphere was a little awkward.
They did not know how many times they had surrounded Andre. Every time, they were able to let him escape.
Time passed by minute by minute.
The members of the pursuit team finally entered the hospital. The members of the pursuit team had solemn expressions on their faces. There were too many people as far as their eyes could see.
How were they supposed to find people?!
“Let’s go to the hospital’s surveillance room. Captain Hunter has already contacted them in advance.”
“The rest of the team members will guard every exit.”
Upon hearing the team leader’s order, the pursuit team quickly moved out.
The 20-member pursuit team split into several teams and began to search for Andre.
At this moment, Andre arrived at the second floor of the hospital. This was the outpatient clinic, and there were many patients there.
Through observation, he confirmed the locations of a few surveillance cameras. He began to avoid the surveillance cameras’ field of vision.
Andre found a doctor’s lounge. Seeing that there was no one inside, he quickly opened the door and entered.
Not long after, he came out again. He had already changed into the doctor’s white coat and was wearing a mask.
He found the stairway and went up to the third floor.
“Guru, are you planning to hide in the hospital?”
“God, are you feeling unwell? You came in to see a doctor while you were on the run.”
“The one above should stop. God is f*cking unwell.”
The scene in the live broadcast room locked onto the interior of the hospital.
Hmm?
Andre heard the members of the pursuit team going up the stairs and even asked if they had seen any suspicious people come in.
He quickly came up with a plan in his mind.
There were all kinds of examination rooms on the third floor. It was not easy to hide here. After saying that, he went straight upstairs.
He took a rough look at the fourth floor, but it was not suitable to hide either. He went straight to the fifth floor.
The fifth floor was the emergency operating room of the outpatient clinic, and it had the least number of people.
As Andre walked, he was alert to the movements in the direction of the stairs behind him.
“See, I guessed it right. The god is definitely here to see a doctor.”
“See your sister’s illness. Can’t you see that the god is looking for a place to hide? !”
“Stop arguing. The hospital forbids loud noises!”
“Haha, the sense of immersion upstairs is so strong.”
Andre walked to the door of a room and stood still.
The voices of a man and a woman could be heard from inside.
“I’m a little nervous. This is my first time participating in surgery. What should I do?”
“Don’t worry. This is a chance for us to learn. It’s rare for Professor John to agree to let the two of us participate in the surgery. It’s very rare.”
Andre understood. These two new interns were discussing the surgery they would be participating in later.
He raised his head and saw the words “Sterile Operating Theater” written on the top of the door.
Suddenly, he had an idea. He turned around and went back.
He opened the door of the sterile operating theater and walked in.
“You are?” the young male doctor asked in puzzlement.
“John!” Andre said as he walked in. “The surgery will start soon. Are you ready?”
“Ah!” The female intern covered her mouth with her hand. He was Professor John.
It was the first day for the two interns to practice, so they did not know what professor John looked like.
This surgery was a minor one. Usually, Professor John would be able to complete it on his own. However, calling for two more interns was also an opportunity for them to learn.
“System, I would like to purchase the divine medical skill.”
Ding! “Congratulations to the host for spending 20,000 shock points on a skill, the divine medical skill.”
Andre’s smile became even wider. Then, he waved his hand to let the two interns follow.
“F*ck! You can do that too! You’re pretending to be a doctor?”
“God, don’t fool around. You’re going to get people killed.”
“It’s indeed a little too much. The program team should stop it immediately. This is going to cost people their lives.”
When the audience in the live broadcast saw that Andre was actually pretending to be a doctor and even going in to perform a surgery, it was not something that could be settled.
This was not the kind of surgery where people used all kinds of tools to narrowly escape. This was a surgery where people’s lives were at stake.
Without several years or even decades of study, how could they pick up a scalpel to save people?
At this time, the escape program team also realized that the problem was serious.
They could not let Andre continue messing around. The team immediately contacted the staff who had been outside the hospital and entered the hospital to stop Andre.
However, Andre’s speed was beyond their imagination.
He entered the operating room and saw that there was already a patient lying on the operating table.
Moreover, the skin area where the patient was about to be operated on had already been sterilized.
With the help of the female nurse, Andre put on a sterile surgical gown. The two interns also put on sterile surgical gowns.
PA!
The shadowless lights above the operating table were all turned on. A few beams of strong light shone on the patient’s right lower abdomen area.
Andre gestured for an intern to cover the patient with a sterile sheet.
The two interns had seen the surgical teaching videos before, so they knew how to operate.
A moment later, the sterile sheet was completely covered, leaving only the skin that was to be operated on bare.
“The operation today is an appendectomy. Although it’s a small operation, it’s a rare opportunity for you to learn.”
When Andre was eavesdropping outside the door, he knew that this operation was an appendectomy.
“Professor John, we will definitely observe carefully and learn.”
Hearing the two interns’ words, Andre nodded.
Then, he signaled the anesthetist to start the anesthesia with his eyes.
A few minutes later, the patient fell into a deep sleep.
Andre touched his skin with one hand, looking for the position of the incision.
He reached out with his right hand and said in a low voice without even looking at the nurse on his right.
“Scalpel!”
The female nurse immediately handed the sharp scalpel to Andre.
He was fully focused. He held the scalpel in his right hand and made a Myers incision on the patient’s right lower abdomen.
The sharp blade cut open the skin and blood instantly oozed out.
