The Sorcery Academy: I am Invincible After Getting Treasure Chests Everyday - Chapter 5
Chapter 5: The Teachers’ Conference!

After Teacher Atais came, this matter came to an end.
Those students who were watching the fun dispersed. Teacher Atais had promptly stopped Linley Bart and Otto’s fight and made the two of them go back to their room to reflect on their actions. He did not punish them too much.
This was because Linley Bart had only used low-level spells which didn’t contain much threat. On the other hand, Otto who had used a high-level spell had suffered a backlash.
This caused Atais to feel rather surprised. He had often heard of Linley’s reputation.
He was a famous playboy with extremely low sorcery talent. Logically speaking, it was impossible for him to defeat Otto.
Yet he had managed to do so?
Perhaps Linley had some sort of special magical item on him.
However, he did not think that it was a big deal. It was useless for a person to rely on magic equipments which were not part of his own strength.
Hence, he decided to let the two children go back separately and did not think much of it.
However, when he returned to the school office, he realized that there were already some teachers gathered there.
They were teachers from various departments, and they were also puzzled.
“Dean Atais, you’re finally here,” a middle-aged man said angrily.
He waved his arms in a comical manner.
This person was the associate dean of the academy, Wilson.
“Our honorable prince, Otto is injured! This matter must be dealt with seriously!” Wilson said.
“I already know about this. I just came from the scene of the fight.” Atais nodded.
He didn’t expect this matter to reach Wilson’s ears so quickly.
Atais didn’t like Wilson very much. He was like an annoying man who liked to stir up trouble.
Moreover, he liked to favor students with high statuses and looked down on commoners with low statuses.
3
This disgusted Ataiss.
For Atais, he felt that the original intention of establishing this academy was to give both nobles and commoners a chance to learn sorcery.
His ancestor was once a commoner sorcerer who passed on his title down to his generation. Although he had a minor title, Atais was more inclined towards the commoner students.
“We must punish the person who injured His Highness Otto severely! According to the laws of the Empire, those who injured the royal family will be executed!” Wilson said.
1
“But we are at the Sacred Dragon Sorcery Academy. They are just children. It is normal for young people to have conflicts. Furthermore, Otto’s injury was caused by his own magic backlash, not by injury.”
1
“What? Magic backlash?” Wilson was shocked. “Who could have caused His Highness Otto to suffer from magic backlash!”
Magic backlash was a serious injury.
Most of the time, it occurs when sorcerers who were unable to control their magic gets devoured by their own magic powers when casting a spell that is over their limits. It could only be avoided after fully mastering magic.
“Linley Bart.” Atais said his name.
“That Linley Bart who relied on his father to enter the academy?”
“Yes, that’s him.”
“How is that possible? He’s just a Trainee Apprentice Sorcerer! You’re not kidding right, Atais.”
“Absolutely not. It’s definitely this student.” Atais pondered for a moment. “This child managed to instantly cast many spells without recitation and relied on his overwhelming number of low-level spells to defeat Otto.”
“He didn’t chant any incantations? You must be mistaken, Atais.” Wilson laughed. “It’s impossible for a Trainee Apprentice Sorcerer to have the ability to cast spells without chanting! Don’t be biased towards him.”
“I’m not siding with anyone. I’m just stating the facts,” Atais said. “Even if you want to punish Linley Bart, don’t forget that his father, Duke Bart, is one of our academy’s sponsors. If this matter were to reach the principal’s ears, he wouldn’t agree with your actions.”
3
“Hmph!” Wilson snorted coldly.
Atais was right.
The reason why Linley Bart was able to enter the academy was all because of his father. No matter how low his talent in sorcery was and whatever he did, the academy wouldn’t expel or punish him.
1
This was all because of his father, Duke Bart.
Duke Bart was like a god of war in the Raymond Empire. He was a living legend, the pinnacle among warriors.
He led the Raymond Empire to expand its territory and took over large plots of land for the empire. From there, he was rewarded by the emperor and established a dukedom, becoming the duke with the most military strength in the empire.
Everyone on the continent feared this duke’s strength.
1
Although the Sacred Dragon Sorcery Academy trained in magic, they still respected this legendary warrior. Thus, they had reluctantly accepted his son into the academy.
But who would have thought that Linley Bart was a typical hedonistic son of a wealthy family? His talent in sorcery was extremely low and it would be very difficult for him to even become an Apprentice Sorcerer.
It wouldn’t be a big deal if he just wasted his days in the academy.
However, Linley Bart loved to stir up trouble. This time, after he had offended Otto, everyone had thought that he would restrain himself a bit.
1
Yet unexpectedly, he managed to defeat Otto.
The teachers were all puzzled by Linley’s strength. How did he manage to defeat the powerful Otto?
“Cheating! He must be cheating. Otto is our best student. There’s no way he would be defeated by that useless Linley…” Wilson wanted to say that Linley was a good-for-nothing, but with so many teachers present, he changed his words. “It’s impossible for a lower grade student like him to defeat a higher grade student!”
The Sacred Dragon Sorcery Academy was divided into six grades. The first graders were all Trainee Apprentice Sorcerers. Only after advancing to Apprentice Sorcerers could they promote to the second grade.
The third grade required one to become an Elementary Sorcerer.
The fifth grade required one to be an Intermediate Sorcerer.
1
The sixth grade contained only Advanced Sorcerers.
Once one became a Grand Sorcerer, one would be able to graduate. This was because, at this level, the school had nothing more to teach.
“This is just a small conflict between two students. I’ve already asked them to go back and reflect on their actions. This matter will end here.” Atais waved his hand. “You can all disperse.”
Although Wilson was still unconvinced, he had nothing to say and could only leave in a huff.
After the teachers left, a black shadow suddenly appeared on the wall. The dean immediately looked over respectfully.
“Greetings, vice-principal.” Atais faced the black shadow respectfully. “What can I do for you?”
The black shadow spoke slowly. His voice was incomparably ancient, like the sound of a bell from the void. “One month from now, it will be the day of the Continental Sorcery Academy Competition. Yet, these people are still arguing over these ridiculous matters!”
