Chapter 776: Chapter 770: The Connection with Gen Earth
“`
“Chirp?” (What’s wrong?)
Facing his partner’s relentless approach, Lolo instinctively took a step back.
Seeing this, Rainbow and its friends exchanged glances and mischievously used their claws and tail to grab Lolo, then they tossed it into the air to frolic.
“Whoosh!”
Watching Lolo draw a parabolic arc across the sky, disappearing into the distance and then instantly teleporting in front of him, David Jones raised an eyebrow with some surprise.
“What kind of breakthrough opportunity?” he asked eagerly.
“Chirp.” (A Refined Universe Crystal, ten top-grade Dragon Crystals, and any Level VIII legendary mesona, preferably a descendant of pure spiritual wood without consciousness.)
Lolo spoke softly.
By bathing in Flameless Dragon Blood, it had glimpsed the mystery of Immortal spirit wood born from the essence, breath, and spirit of the burning stars, still flickering in and out of existence.
Luckily, the Refined Universe Crystal was a heavenly and earthly spiritual item, conceived after the annihilation of a Cosmos-level dungeon, with the might to open spaces and create miniature worlds. With it, Lolo could emulate the nurturing process of the Innate Immortal Spirit Wood, using a Level VIII legendary mesona as fuel for its own advancement.
It could absorb the essence, breath, and spirit of the spirit wood in the moment the miniature world was born, subsequently integrating and comprehending the Rule of Wood and Space Rule throughout the creation of the world, transitioning from acquired to innate. In one fell swoop, it could transform into a Mesona with a not inconsiderable foundation, aspiring to the surge toward being an Immortal Pseudo-Innate Legendary Mesona.
Sensing Lolo’s thoughts, David Jones immediately thought of the Seven Rites Bodhi Tree, a hesitant look appearing on his face.
“Chirp.” (The Seven Rites Bodhi won’t do.)
Lolo shook its head.
Meaning the Seven Rites Bodhi had already developed a sliver of consciousness; it needed a legendary mesona that lacked consciousness.
“I see,” David Jones sighed with relief inwardly.
He had a high regard for the Seven Rites Bodhi and was planning to nurture it carefully, to be cherished as a family heritage to be passed down to future generations.
Seeing this, an unnatural smile appeared on Lolo’s face as well.
This was the first time it had deceived David Jones.
It had lied about one thing: even a legendary mesona with a consciousness would have worked. But it didn’t want to kill the Seven Rites Bodhi for the sake of its breakthrough.
“All right, Lolo, come and join everyone else in the work,” David Jones suddenly changed the subject.
This kid really is… doesn’t even know how to lie!
David Jones shook his head, dismissing the thought from his mind, and concentrated on harvesting Dragon Resources from the Flameless Dark Dragon.
He wanted to take the more valuable resources from the dragon’s remains before legendary fighters arrived.
The reason he didn’t put the dragon carcass into the Mesona Space all at once was simply to process the materials in a timely manner, to prevent important Dragon Resources from degrading.
…
Above the vast sea of clouds, a crystalline red figure slowly appeared. Upon closer inspection, it was a noble divine bird, its tail feathers illuminated with golden patterns.
Standing motionlessly above the divine bird, a square-faced middle-aged man with bushy eyebrows and starry eyes, dressed in plain gray robes, gazed with interest at the Flameless Dark Dragon carcass stretching for tens of thousands of meters on the ground.
“The judgment of the young generation is truly becoming worse, mistaking a Class VII Emperor Dragon for a Class VIII one,” he muttered softly.
“This Class VII Emperor Dragon has a special bloodline, its aura far surpassing that of a Class VIII Emperor Dragon, even bearing some semblance of the might of the Dragon of Domination. It’s no wonder those youngsters were mistaken.”
Upon hearing this, the man in gray turned his gaze to the other side of the clouds and spoke calmly, “Hatt Ken, you are not suited for the skill of Instant Teleportation, there’s no need to force it.”
“`
“Phoenix Harrison, it’s not that I’m unsuitable, it’s just that your eyes are too perceptive!”
As the words fell, the clouds and mist dispersed, revealing a hunchbacked old man leaning on a cane, his tone somewhat envious.
“The new waves of the Yangtze River push forward the old waves. The young generation of today are all monsters; it’s about time we old folks stepped aside.”
No sooner had he spoken than an unsatisfied voice transmitted through the void.
“I will forever be eighteen. Don’t talk nonsense, you old geezers,” Natalie Laurie said calmly. “My era is just beginning!”
After speaking, she glanced down at the sea of clouds below with an indifferent tone, “Except for David Jones.”
Too brutal, far too brutal!
Seeing the miserable end of the Flameless Dark Dragon, Natalie Laurie’s gaze grew more complicated.
This Class VII Emperor Dragon, of all creatures, had to provoke David Jones.
Provoking David Jones was bad enough, but at the very least, it should have lasted longer to let her get in on some of the action.
Now, all she could do was silently watch David Jones strike it rich, while internally calculating what resources to offer in exchange for the Dragon Bones and also trying to suppress the impulse to just snatch them for herself.
“I still have some important matters to attend to. Since the Emperor Dragon is dealt with, I shall take my leave,” Phoenix Harrison glanced at David Jones and then disappeared after a cry of a phoenix.
Refining the Purplesun Elixir required some Fire Emperor Dragon Blood, and with his daughter involved, there was no need for him to interfere more.
“Strange, has Phoenix Harrison changed his temperament, to not even consider a Class VII Emperor Dragon with the bloodline of a Dragon of Domination?’
Seeing Phoenix Harrison leave as soon as he arrived, Hatt Ken wondered aloud.
The resources from a Class VII Emperor Dragon were considered top-grade in the eyes of legendary fighters but only just fine in the eyes of Deity fighters.
However, this particular Class VII Emperor Dragon was a rare exception!
Hatt Ken had lived for over nine hundred years, and he had to admit, this was the first time he had seen such a ferocious Class VII Emperor Dragon.
From the residual aura left on the battlefield, it was clear that even some senior legendary fighters would have to exhaust all strategies to contend with this Emperor Dragon. Some newly advanced Class VIII fighters, if unlucky, even risked falling.
Otherwise, Hatt Ken wouldn’t have referred to the young generation of his country as monsters!
While Hatt Ken was pondering, Natalie Laurie’s complexion slightly changed, and the Sky-Coloring Luan on her shoulder burst into a seven-color flame that made space shudder.
“Back off. Those who dare to strike will die!”
As Natalie Laurie’s icy words fell, several legendary fighters lurking in the dark, harboring greedy thoughts, immediately reined in their auras and fled.
There was no helping it. They were somewhat confident in attacking David Jones without revealing their identities, but attacking Natalie Laurie was tantamount to asking to be pummelled for nothing.
“Boring, I was hoping to witness the prowess of Rosewood’s current leader,” Hatt Ken sighed.
At that, Natalie Laurie’s gaze immediately fell upon him, “With that time, you might as well urge the folks below to speed up and finish opening the Overlord’s Path.”
“That’s rich, considering the meager contribution made by Rosewood College. We at Blunt College are at a huge loss!” Hatt Ken said with a pained expression.
The elevation of the Overlord’s Path doesn’t come out of thin air; it requires a vast amount of resources. The higher the Pet’s qualifications to open the Overlord’s Path, the more Pet Resources it consumes.
Given that David Jones was able to slay beyond his class, the talents of his Contract Pet must be far from simple.
“Huh, someone else is coming; this time it’s Jerald Goldsmith, and this guy is no slouch,” said Hatt Ken.
Natalie Laurie said nothing, quickly descending toward David Jones on her Train Pet.
