Chapter 40 Wedding

She didn’t have a complicated hairstyle and just had her hair tied up in a bun. There were a few flowers in the bun that matched the theme of the outdoor wedding. It also made Anita look more charming. Owen
couldn’t take his eyes off her.
The stylist beside her was about to pick up the veil in her hand to cover Anita when she saw Owen standing at the side watching the bride, so she smiled and said, “Mr. Owen, I’ll let you put this veil on the bride’s head.”
“Thank you,” Owen said. It was exactly what he wanted. He quickly reached over and took it. Following the stylist’s instructions, Owen gently pulled the hair over Anita’s head. He even reached out to smooth her hair.
Anita watched the way Owen lowered his head to sort it out for her, especially the way he had just looked at her with such affection. For a moment, she felt as if she were really getting married and the person in front
of her was her soulmate.
This scene was so sweet that even the staff and Bruce could not help but coo. “How sweet.”
Anita and Owen were both nervous as they listened to everyone tease them. Owen reached out first and held Anita’s hand. “Don’t be nervous. Just follow me later.”
“Okay,” Anita said while glancing at Owen.
That was true, but by the time the wedding march sounded, Anita felt completely adrift, as if she couldn’t even walk. She had to hold Owen’s arm tighter.
The song that was played at the wedding ceremony today was a very classic wedding march song. It was the piano version and sounded especially melodious. It could bring one into the zone instantly.
Owen took Anita’s hand and slowly walked down the aisle to the ritual table.
The venue was very quiet. Everyone was holding their breath as they waited. When Anita’s parents saw the two of them walking out arm in arm, their eyes turned red.
Owen’s parents also looked at them excitedly. They were happy to finally see their son get married.
Only Zoey looked at the handsome Owen with an indignant expression. She still couldn’t figure out why Owen was willing to marry Anita. Anita was clearly inferior to her in every way. Zoey wanted to rush up and
question Owen, but when she saw the people around her, she resisted the urge.
Amidst the melodious and soothing zither music, two people stood together in front of the pastor amidst the petals that filled the sky.
The pastor asked them, “Groom, are you willing to be her lawful husband? No matter what happens, you’ll never leave her no matter what happens. Are you willing?”
“I do,” Owen replied slowly and firmly.
When Anita heard Owen’s firm answer, she felt a little shaken. She couldn’t tell if this scene was real or fake.
“Bride, are you willing to be his lawful wife? Regardless…” the pastor looked at Anita and asked.
Anita felt panicked for a moment, and she didn’t know what to answer. She hoped that all of this was real, but she was afraid that when she woke up from her dream, everything would be gone.
“Bride?” the pastor called again when Anita didn’t respond.
do,” Anita finally came back to her senses and said softly.
“Then please exchange rings next,” the pastor said happily.
The flower girl handed over the ring she had already prepared. Owen reached for it first and put it on for Anita.
Anita looked down at the ring on her finger. It was a very simple platinum ring with their names engraved on the ring. For a moment, Anita was a little touched.
Even though they were in a contractual marriage, Owen was really impeccable in many ways.
When the flower girl handed the ring over, Anita had yet to calm down. She mechanically reached out to take the ring. Under everyone’s gazes, she couldn’t help but feel nervous. Her fingers were trembling slightly,
and she almost dropped the ring.
Owen reached out thoughtfully and took Anita’s hand before helping her put the ring on her finger.
After the ring exchange ceremony, it was time for the climax. The wedding march tune and the sound of the waves from the sea intertwined, and the white curtains hanging around the venue fluttered.
Owen lowered his head and kissed Anita.
Anita’s ears buzzed, and she felt as if fireworks had exploded. For a moment, she felt her cheeks, her palms, and her entire body burning.
After a gentle kiss, Owen left Anita. It was only when he looked up that he realized that even Anita’s ears were red.
With a smile, Owen couldn’t help but reach out and touch Anita’s cheeks and earlobes lovingly. Everything seemed so natural. They looked like soulmates.
Owen was like a good husband who loved her deeply, and Anita was like a young wife who was mesmerized by her partner’s charm. For a moment, they couldn’t tell whether it was real or fake..
