Chapter 36: Divide The Spoils
When Gu Tingwei saw Du Hang’s expression, he almost couldn’t hold back his grin. He nodded his head solemnly and said, “I’m serious.”
Obviously, there was no such thing as mermaids. It seemed like the Young Master was truly angry this time.
From the looks of it, he was about to lose his job. Sooner or later, he would have to set up a stall at the night market!
Du Hang plonked his bottom onto the ground in utter despair.
However, he was still wearing his cosplay outfit, with a fake tail attached to his legs. When he sat down, he had to stick out his bottom and curl his legs close together, forming a rigid “S.” It was a terrible sight.

Back home, Mo Heng carried Tangtang into the lift. The little kid wanted to be put down so she could stand on her own.
The moment the lift moved, she was so scared that she squeezed herself into the space between Mo Heng’s legs. When she finally got used to the sensation of weightlessness, she chuckled with newfound excitement and threw herself at Mo Heng, her laughter causing his exhaustion from the day to vanish.
Once the elevator doors opened, the little kid dashed right out like an artillery shell. Unfortunately, her legs were unsteady, and she almost toppled over multiple times. But somehow, she managed to regain her balance each time.
Mo Heng didn’t know whether to laugh or to cry. He was so fixated on Tangtang that he failed to notice the two figures standing at his door.
On the contrary, it was Tangtang who looked up and saw them as she tottered on. “Baba—” she exclaimed happily and threw herself forward.
Little children have the propensity to forget. What’s more, it had almost been a week since Tangtang had seen Mo Heng’s dad. But she somehow remembered him all the same.
This was Mo Qishen’s first time visiting his son’s residence. Embarrassment was written all over his face, but he was also worried that Tangtang had forgotten him, and that she would no longer play with him… He was so anxious that his shoulders were hunched, and he looked solemn, as if he were a soldier on his way to battle…
Even Fang Lanxin thought that Mo Qishan was here to pick a fight with Mo Heng rather than visit the child!
Hence, Fang Lanxin was also very nervous.
Little Tangtang’s cry of surprise was just like a mysterious key which immediately relieved their anxiety.
When Mo Qishan saw Tangtang stumble over to them, he hastily placed the item in his hands onto the floor and walked over to welcome her. “Don’t run! Be careful not to fall!”
As he said this, he swooped over and scooped the little chap up before carrying her in his arms.
Tangtang wrapped her arms around Mo Qishan’s neck and cooed out sweetly, “Baba…”
The little kid actually hadn’t forgotten him!
She had a conscience!
Mo Qishan planted a kiss on the little chap’s soft, bouncy cheek. “Little thing, did you miss your elder?!”
“Ah ah ah…” He still had a bit of stubble on his face, and it pricked Tangtang, causing her to giggle.
Fang Lanxin reminded him in a whisper, “Qishan, don’t scare Tangtang.”
Mo Qishan cupped the little girl’s face in his hands and replied unscrupulously, “I have always been her elder!”
Fang Lanxin was both baffled and envious. She was jealous that Tangtang had run straight over to Mo Qishan just now.
As Tangtang giggled, she realized that her beautiful Mama seemed quite dejected.
Under the sea, when she chose to follow her Royal Father out to chase sharks, a similar look would appear on her Royal Mother’s face.
Tangtang was very experienced in how to fix this.
“Mama… Carry…” The little kid stretched out her hands towards Fang Langxin while still in Mo Qishan’s arms.
Mo Qishan playfully tapped Tangtang’s chubby bottom. “Our good Tangtang even knows how to divide the spoils!”
Fang Lanxin happily took the child in her arms. “Exactly! Our Tangtang is really clever!”
Mo Heng took his own sweet time to stroll over. When he saw the two, who were smiling as they fawned over Tangtang, he started to fret. “Dad, Mom… Why are you guys here?”
Mo Qishan harrumphed coldly. “We are here to visit Tangtang. What’s wrong? You won’t bring her home, and you won’t even allow us to visit her?”
Fang Lanxin hastily returned the child back to Mo Qishan. With Tangtang occupying Mo Qishan’s attention, she could prevent this father and son pair from arguing again.
