Tang Shu raised her eyebrows and said softly to Ko Feng, who passed by her, “Thank you.”
A faint smile appeared in Ko Feng’s eyes. He walked around Tang Shu and sat back in his seat.
In the blink of an eye, it was lunch break. When Tang Shu and Lin Xiang were having lunch in the cafeteria, they heard the people sitting next to them talking about the Taekwondo Club. Their hearts itched. After lunch, she brought Lin Xiang to the Taekwondo Club’s classroom.
The classroom was not difficult to find. Tang Shu only asked around a little and found the club activity room on the first floor of an old building.
At this moment, the classroom was empty. Only a few pieces of equipment were dusty in the corner. The entire classroom was messy and dilapidated as if the words “unfunded” were written everywhere.
The sandbags hanging in the middle of the classroom were also badly worn. It looked like they had been used for a long time.
“Shu, why don’t we go back? This place looks gloomy and a little scary.” Lin Xiang shivered and carefully poked the hard sandbag a few times with her fingers. She resisted this kind of thing that had no beauty.
“Since we’re already here…” Tang Shu handed her a piece of target kick to help her hold it.
Lin Xiang did not understand, but she obeyed.
Tang Shu flexed her muscles a little and controlled her strength to kick the target in Lin Xiang’s hand.
Taekwondo’s target kick should be the strongest among the props in the entire classroom. It was almost impossible for anyone to break it. On the other hand, many beginners would suffer a lot of damage, either light or heavy, while practicing their target kick.
However, Tang Shu was concerned about Lin Xiang. She controlled the strength of her kick and promised not to hurt Lin Xiang’s arm.
In the past, she had lived on the edge all day long and was used to such a thrilling life. Suddenly, she was a little bored. If she did not vent her anger, she would probably be depressed.
Unexpectedly, the target was so weak that it shattered into two after making her kick.
Lin Xiang held up the kick target, dumbfounded. Even a layman like her knew how solid it was, but this board was as fragile as a bubble in front of Tang Shu.
Tang Shu retracted her foot speechlessly. The corners of her mouth twitched slightly as she met Lin Xiang’s probing gaze. “This thing must’ve been damaged. It’s not sturdy. It’s not my fault.”
Tang Shu felt a little awkward. This time, she did not dare to touch anything here anymore. After leaving a note and writing that she would compensate for the broken target kick, she pulled Lin Xiang and ran away.
Several male members of the Taekwondo Club had just returned from lunch. Along the way, they were discussing the Taekwondo competition that was just around the corner. The club members were smug. Although they were not very good, it was an honor for them to participate in the competition.
However, their club was not popular in school and could not be compared to other clubs which had ample funds. The equipment of the Taekwondo club was left behind by their seniors who had graduated.
In addition, there were not many truly capable people in the club, and many of them were beginners. Therefore, the school had hinted more than once that they should disband the club and vacate the classroom for other clubs to use.
“President, if we can’t recruit new people this month, I’m afraid the dean will really disband us.” The tanned little fatty lowered his head worriedly. He really liked Taekwondo and did not want to see the club being disbanded like this.
The president had tried his best with the school to ease the tension. He sighed and opened the door to the activity room in frustration. “There’s no other way. We can only publicize more and try to recruit more people.”
He looked at the torn sandbag in the middle of the classroom and smiled bitterly. The Taekwondo Club had been in the school for more than ten years. Was it going to be disbanded in his tenure?
He was indignant. The president looked greedily at every piece of equipment in the classroom. Every item here carried the memories of the club. That kick target was a memento given to him by the previous president. That kick target…
“My kick target!” The president picked up the pieces on the ground with heartache. “What happened? Why did the target crack in half? Who did this?!”
The members stared in disbelief at the break in the target. “It looks like it was broken.”
“How is that possible?” Fatty was puzzled. “You can’t break a target!”
“President! There’s a note here!” The little fatty hurriedly handed it to the president.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to. I’ll pay you for a new target kick.”
The president read the note in a daze and could not help but be curious about the mysterious person who wrote it.
