The Supreme Spy - Chapter 48
Chapter 48: We’re Not That Easy to Bully
As He Tianfeng went on with, the students of Class 3 became even angrier.
“What’s there to be arrogant about?”
“Just because of you? What’chu gonna do?”
“Stop bragging, dude!”
He Tianfeng was not frightened because of them. He smiled and said with pride, “Our Third Bro has a red-black belt in Taekwondo, which is only one level away from a black belt. He will be performing Taekwondo later on stage. You guys want to be the one to fight him later?”
As soon as He Tianfeng’s words came out, the students of Class 3 were not as confident as before. No matter whether they knew Taekwondo or not, the concept of a “black belt master” was still known by everyone. Although the red-black belt was still a level lower than the black belt, he could still easily beat up ordinary students.
When He Tianfeng noticed that the students from Class 3 were chickening out, he became even more arrogant. He provocatively looked at Zheng Mei, which made her even angrier. She grit her teeth and sat down with a snort.
When Xue Wantong saw that her students were fearlessly standing up for her, she felt warm inside and tried to persuade them, “Okay, okay. Although you guys aren’t in one class, you are still schoolmates. Let’s just move on and forget about this.”
He Tianfeng said with a smile, “Miss Xue, don’t be afraid. As long as we are here, no one will dare bully you. If anyone tries to bully you, we’ll teach them a lesson!”
In the past, Zheng Mei had been deliberately hard on Xue Wantong. Therefore, when she saw that Zheng Mei being muted by a student, she was delighted and touched. “Alright, come, let’s sit down and enjoy the show. I’m proud to have good students like you guys, and I am very happy that all of you stood up for me.”
He Tianfeng and others sat down with their heads held high as if they had won a battle. He didn’t even care about Zheng Mei’s opinion on him. It’s true that it is a student’s job to respect their teacher. However, it has to be established upon the fact that you are someone worth respecting, instead of just respecting you because you are a teacher.
Looking at Zheng Mei’s somber face, Cheng Yingfan felt furious as well. “Miss Zheng, just forget about what they say and let them do whatever they want on stage. I’ll show them what I can do.”
Watching Cheng Yingfan stand by her, Zheng Mei felt relieved. She nodded and said, “Well, I believe in you.”
At this time, several people came in, including school leaders, department leaders, and two special guests.
Cheng Yingfan’s eyes suddenly lit up. “Professor Zhang Ming!”
Zheng Mei glanced at the few people but didn’t recognize them. She subconsciously asked, “Who are they? Do you know them?”
Cheng Yingfan pointed to an elegant man in his fifties who was dressed in casual clothes and said, “Well, that is Professor Zhang Ming of Zhonghai Music University. He once served as a judge in a piano competition where I won second place…”
Zheng Mei’s eyes lit up. “Professor at the Zhonghai Music University?”
Cheng Yingfan nodded. “Yes, he has a very high attainment in music and is a very well known personnel. But, why is he here?”
Zheng Mei looked at where Zhang Ming sat and said with a smile: “He’s sitting at the guest area so he should be a guest invited to attend the event. The departments usually invite important guests to participate in these events, and most of them are alumni of the university. Therefore, they are also willing to return to the campus as guests to meet with the juniors…”
Zheng Mei paused and suddenly stood up. “Cheng Yingfan, since you know Professor Zhang Ming, you should go and say hello.”
Obviously, this was what Cheng Yingfan wanted as well. Therefore, he quickly stood up and followed behind Zheng Mei as they walked toward the guest seats in front.
Zheng Mei hadn’t lowered her voice and had instead, deliberately said it loudly. When she finally left, she gave a defiant glance at Xue Wantong, which had a self-evident meaning.
He Tianfeng uncomfortably said, “Why is she being so full of herself just because they know one of the guests? This guy should have gone to a music university. Why the hell did he choose the English department?”
Lin Zhu pushed up his glasses. “It’s difficult for musicians to make a living at present. Not everyone would be successful making music. The English department is actually the better choice, he’s just being realistic!”
When He Tianfeng heard it, his eyes lit up, and he said with a smile, “You’re right, most people are only learning the piano to make themselves look elegant. If he’s actually as good as he says, he should have his own concert then! The most he can do is play in a coffee shop and make money by fooling people who don’t know a single thing about music.”
He Tianfeng and Lin Zhu hadn’t lowered their voices as well. Their conversation immediately angered the students from Class 3 who were now glaring at them, but the two just completely ignored it.
‘Although we are schoolmates, we’re on different sides trying to protect two different things. You can’t blame us for being rude.’
Qin Yang couldn’t help but laugh at the drama that He Tianfeng had caused. This guy had his own way of defending people, and this time, he had done it for his teacher. Well done!
When Cheng Yingfan heard He Tianfeng’s last words, he was so angry that he didn’t watch his steps. He tripped on the foot of a stool, staggered, and nearly fell down. He Tianfeng saw this scene and immediately laughed out loud.
Although Xue Wantong was very grateful to He Tianfeng and the others for supporting her, she was still a teacher, so she tried to stop him in a gentle manner, “Okay, He Tianfeng. Stop it, we should be friendly with our schoolmates.”
When he heard Xue Wantong, He Tianfeng toned down his laugh. He straightened his back with his hands spread out and said with a helpless look on his face, “Ms. Xue, we are all good babies. If no one provokes us, then we won’t cause any trouble. If the others try to provoke us, we won’t sit around quietly and get bullied!”
Xue Wantong softly said, “I know. Why don’t you go get the rest of the class and get them to their seats? Then we can cheer the performers from our class.”
He Tianfeng stood up. “Okay!”
Qin Yang hadn’t taken part in the drama, but he had been watching the entire scene throughout and understood Ms. Xue a little better: she was kind-hearted and had a very soft personality. Otherwise, she and Zheng Mei were both headteachers of the same rank, so why should she be bullied?
Just because Zheng Mei was older than her?
That’s just bullsh*t!
But this was also good news. It would be nice to spend four years in university with such a soft and gentle teacher.
At least, it would be more comfortable looking at such a beautiful headteacher than looking at the mean and unkind Mrs. Zheng.
