The Supreme Spy - Chapter 53
Chapter 53: A Slap in the Face!
“I think it was Han Qingqing? But based on what the students are saying, they seemed to have changed the performer, along with the repertoire…”
Feng Yuanshan was not sure and answered casually, but looking at Zhang Ming’s eager expression, he couldn’t help but laugh. “What’s wrong? Do you think he’s good?”
Zhang Ming said earnestly, “It’s not just good, it’s excellent. Although he sounds a little amateur at some points, his overall performance is very good. At least, I have never seen anyone play better than him at his age.”
Feng Yuanshan was stunned. “Is he really that good? What about compared to the boy before this?”
Zhang Ming smiled bitterly. “Why would I lie to you? I have to find out who this person is. The previous one is talented, but he is not on the same level as the current player. It is incomparable.”
Feng Yuanshan asked, “That’s surprising. Since you think so highly of him, are you going to ask him to be your disciple?”
Zhang Ming’s eyes were blazing. “I was thinking about the same thing. If this child is willing to practice hard for a few more years, he will definitely be a new star in the music industry and will even become a piano master. However, I still have to meet him first, get to know him better, and observe him a little more.”
Feng Yuanshan smiled and said, “I don’t understand music but since Professor Zhang is saying that he’s good, he must be a really talented child. Looks like my university is filled with lots of talented people.”
Zhang Ming didn’t continue the conversation. He turned and continued listening to Qin Yang’s performance as he was worried that he might miss out on any interesting parts.
Qin Yang’s body and mind were immersed in the music. His ten slender fingers slid gracefully on the keyboard with no hurry, as if with a natural rhythm of flowing water, but the sound that came out of it was like a huge wave, constantly hitting their soul.
The tune became more and more heated. Everyone in the small auditorium had an inexplicable emotion in their hearts. It was not the first time they had listened to this piece, but now they were all immersed in it whether or not they could really understand it.
When Qin Yang’s ten fingers finally rested on the keys and finished the performance with a clean note, the entire auditorium was as quiet as an ocean.
Qin Yang put down his hands, stood up, and gently bowed to the crowd under the light. He then turned around and left just as quiet as he had come.
When Qin Yang was halfway off the stage, someone from the audience suddenly shouted.
“Bravo!”
With this shout, the entire auditorium became heated as well. The applause was raging, and whistles were coming from everywhere, causing for deafening sound waves.
In Class Two, He Tianfeng and others were the ones who were the loudest and the most excited.
Qin Yang’s sudden outbreak not only surprised those that he didn’t know and those from Class 3, but even He Tianfeng and the others who were familiar with Qin Yang were surprised.
Oh my god, our Boss can even play the piano!
Not only can he play it, he even plays like a pro!
Our Boss has been hiding all this so well. He knows how to fight and can even play the piano. He Tianfeng and others were not very familiar with the piano, but even as laymen, they could clearly distinguish that Qin Yang’s performance was much better than Cheng Yingfan’s!
Without them saying anything, the audience’s reaction had already said it all!
He Tianfeng provocatively turned his head and saw Zheng Mei’s gloomy face. He then looked at Cheng Yingfan and found that he no longer had the same arrogance and confidence from before. In fact, he looked rather embarrassed.
The other students in Class Three also had embarrassed expressions on their faces. Just now, seeing that Han Qingqing could not come on stage, they had first attacked Han Qingqing, and then frantically insulted Qin Yang. But now, Qin Yang had given them a slap across the face.
This was a huge wake up call.
And it was really embarrassing.
Qin Yang walked back to his seat amongst the students of Class 2, and everyone looked at him with admiration.
“Qin Yang, good job!”
“Nice one!”
“Well done, you’ve made us proud! Your program was definitely the best!”
Qin Yang smiled and said a few words like “thank you” and “you overexaggerate”, then waved at He Tianfeng.
He Tianfeng trotted over to Qin Yang’s side and gave him a thumbs up. “Boss, you’re amazing! Is there anything that you cannot do?”
Qin Yang smiled. “To be honest, I know a little bit of everything.”
He Tianfeng nodded without hesitation. “If you said this before, I would have thought that you were just bragging, but now, I believe you! Hey, this was a good move. All of their expressions changed as soon as they heard you. Well done, they should know who’s boss now. We can’t be bullied that easily!”
Qin Yang didn’t answer and just smiled as he said, “Since there will be no program from our class after this, I’ll be leaving now.”
He Tianfeng was stunned for a moment and wanted to ask Qin Yang where he was going, but he suddenly understood. “Are you going to visit Han Qingqing?”
“Uh-huh,” Qin Yang said, “I’ll make a phone call to see if they need help.”
He Tianfeng nodded immediately. “Go. If you need anything, call me!”
“Okay!”
Qin Yang slipped out of the auditorium and called Xue Wantong.
“Ms. Xue, this is Qin Yang. Where are you now?”
Xue Wantong sounded a little anxious. “We just came out of the nurses’ office. The doctor said that it might be acute enteritis, but it could also be something else. The doctor recommended that we go to the hospital for an emergency examination to prevent any accidents.”
Qin Yang said, “Ok, wait for me outside the auditorium. I’ll get a taxi.”
Xue Wantong answered, “Okay.”
Qin Yang hung up and ran toward the school gate. After all, he was at the university and it was already midnight, so it was not that easy to get a taxi.
Qin Yang ran like lightning and traveled five or six hundred meters in just over a minute. Just as he ran out of the school, he saw an empty taxi and quickly stopped it.
He sat in the passenger seat and asked the driver to drive into the campus. When they arrived at the entrance of the school hall, Xue Wantong arrived as well.
The taxi couldn’t hold five people, so Xue Wantong asked Zhao Rui to return to the hall. Then, she and Le Yuxin helped Han Qingqing, whose face had become as white as paper, sit in the back seat. The car turned around and drove toward the nearest hospital.
Qin Yang, who was sitting in front, turned his head to look at Han Qingqing who was in agony and still covering her stomach with her hands. He asked with concern, “Han Qingqing, which part of your abdomen hurts?”
Han Qingqing was lying on the back seat. When she heard Qin Yang, she felt embarrassed and shy, but she knew that Qin Yang was just being concerned. She gently pressed on the area that was hurting and said, “Here, the pain comes and goes…”
Qin Yang looked at the position that she had shown and comforted her, “If it’s the mid-abdomen, it might be acute enteritis, intestinal obstruction, or even lead poisoning. But since we’re at the school, it’s not possible for it to be lead poisoning, so it is most likely acute enteritis. Don’t worry…”
