The Supreme Spy - Chapter 57
Chapter 57: Boss, You’re Famous Now!
It’s nearly ten when Han Qingqing finished her fluids. The medication had clearly worked. Though the pain hadn’t fully dissipated, it had become much better than before.
They left the hospital, Qin Yang waved for a taxi, sent Han Qingqing and Le Yuxin back to the female’s dorm, then returned to his own dorm.
Qin yang entered the dorm. Upon closing the door, he found himself once again viewing a familiar scene.
Three pairs of eyes from He Tianfeng and the other two stared at him straight as if looking at an interstellar guest. The flames within their eyes were nearly frightening.
Qin Yang retreated a step. “What are you guys doing? I’m going to put this out there: I don’t like men!”
He Tianfeng came forward and looked at Qin Yang from all sorts of directions, then said with a confused face, “Boss, are you a reborn?”
Qin Yang was confused. “What?”
“The reborn are those with extraordinary power that you see in novels. They usually die of an accident, then they time travel back a few years, or even get reborn into his youth, with the knowledge and skills that he has learned, thereby starting his extraordinary journey after that…”
Qin Yang finally came back to his senses and said with a helpless tone, “You’ve been reading way too many novels! If I was one of them, I would buy the lottery tickets and become a billionaire.”
He Tianfeng laughed. “But you are just so impressive! I feel you know just about anything. How can you be so good at so many things?”
“How? I learned it. I mean, I wasn’t born with them.”
Qin Yang answered with a smile. He hadn’t forged this statement: his life had been super miserable after being selected by his master.
While the other children were having fun playing games and traveling around the world, he had been forced to practice martial arts. He had to memorize all sorts of recitals and was forced to learn a little bit of everything. If he made a mistake, he would be beaten and even get punished for it. Even if he got punished, it wasn’t the normal physical punishment; it would be more martial art practice.
Well, he had no other choice. This was all because his master was way too powerful.
If the master is such a capable and talented person, why would he allow his disciple to be a useless piece of sh*t?
Plus, as a hidden clan that passes down the inheritance to only one person, every generation would only take in one disciple. He was the only disciple to his master, and therefore it’s expected that his master would be really strict with him.
He was indeed a smart and savvy person, but still, in order to be good in a particular skill, you will still have to put in a lot of time and effort. This was also why he felt relaxed and at ease when he entered this university.
When compared to the days from before, this was definitely heaven!
“Boss, you are famous now!”
Lin Zhu turned his head from the computer, touched his glasses, and said with his face full of excitement, “Since a video of your piano repertoire was posted to the school forum and someone recognized you, all of the things you have done in the past have been exposed, including you, Han Qingqing, and Le Yuxin’s encounter with the thugs for lunch on the commercial street, our encounter with the revenging thugs on the streets on the same night, and the incident where you defeated the Sanda Club…”
Qin Yang gave a bitter smile and said, “Well, everyone already knows about it. So?”
Lin Zhu laughed. “Originally, it was only a reply to the original post. Then someone commented about it and another student asked for the details. In the end, one of the students listed down all the incidents that happened in the last few days, and now this post is becoming viral. Boss, you are now famous within Zhonghai University!”
Qin Yang froze. “Who was so bored?”
Lin Zhu turned his computer and opened a web page. “Boss, take a look for yourself.”
Qin Yang went closer for a better look. The post was already clicked open and had an attractive title.
“Only the strongest dragon gets across the river! A new fierce rising star from the freshmen!”
The edge of Qin Yang’s mouth lifted up. ‘Fierce rising star’?
Qin Yang continued reading the post. As Lin Zhu had said, the post had written down all the notable conflicts in detail ever since he had come to the university.
The post was viral as there were at least one thousand who had read the post, with more than two hundred replies, and the numbers still growing.
Upon finishing the post, Qin Yang lifted his head and wryly smiled. “This person really has nothing else better to do.”
Lin Zhu laughed. “Boss, since you are famous and someone mentioned our dorm number, now our entire dorm has become famous.”
Qin Yang sat down on his seat and helplessly said, “A man fears fame like pigs fear being fat. This isn’t anything good, why are you guys so happy about it?”
He Tianfeng smiled. “Boss, now I don’t agree with you. As the saying goes, if you want to be famous, you might as well do it when you’re young. In this era, fame is also a form of ability and can bring forth much convenience and benefits. Just look at the number of people who want to be famous! They do literally everything to be famous…”
Qin Yang smiled and didn’t continue the conversation with He Tianfeng. The preference of fame depends on the person’s character; some prefer to be well-known in the public and be in the spotlight, while others may prefer to be low-key and quietly get what they want.
It’s kinda like wealth. Do you really think that those on the Forbes List are the richest people on earth?
Some families or chaebols with a long history have powerful backgrounds and control wealth comparable to nations, yet remain unknown to the average people.
When Qin Yang was in the Dragon Group, he experienced all sorts of things and saw all types of people. It’s fair to say that he has a deeper understanding of the world.
On the surface, the world is flat. But in fact, it consists of multiple layers, and the lives of the people on different layers are entirely different. If it isn’t because of a rare occasion, one will never have the chance of accessing the other layers and will never know what it’s like to be in that world.
Qin Yang decided to change the topic, “Oh, Han Qingqing and Le Yuxin saw the post about the fight and felt bad about it, so to prevent them from overthinking, I invited their dorm for a trip this weekend. Are you guys free this weekend?”
“With Han Qingqing’s roommates?”
When He Tianfeng heard about the invitation with all those beautiful girls, he was excited and his eyes illuminated as his face filled with excitement.
Qin Yang nodded. “Yes, as a dorm communion. Just a get together for the weekend since we have nothing planned anyways… Well, it’ll still depend on your opinions. If you guys think otherwise…”
“No problem!”
Even before Qin Yang could finish, He Tianfeng interjected Qin Yang. He supported aloud, “How can I oppose a dorm communion with all those beautiful girls? Also, even just for our Boss’ lifetime of happiness, there is no reason to refuse this communion!”
As soon as he was done, his expression immediately changed and he showed a determined face. “Boss, don’t worry, we’ll be understanding. Regardless of how Han Qingqing’s roommates look, we will keep all three of them distracted so that you can have some alone time with Han Qingqing.”
Qin Yang scolded him while laughing, “Stop it with the nonsense! Le Yuxin and Zhao Rui are not that bad. Aren’t they good looking as well?!”
“Haha, it’s just a metaphor, don’t care about the details!”
He Tianfeng laughed as he replied to Qin Yang. Then, he straightened his arm and stood in a powerful pose. “Afterall, I am a professional wingman!”
T/L : ‘A man fears fame just like pigs fear being fat’ is a way to say that being famous would bring unnecessary trouble just like how a fat pig would be slaughtered first.
