Chapter 195: 187 Brother Hug, those who looked down on the boss regretted it too late [2 more updates]_2
Today is a workday.
Zhong Zhiwan went to school, and Lady Zhong went for a perfume essence massage.
Old Master Zhong was supposed to be at the company too, but after hearing she was coming, he delegated his work to others.
“Zijin, not to blame you, but why did you run off by yourself?” Old Master Zhong was very troubled, “Let’s not even talk about whether your health has recovered. As a young lady, what would you do if you encountered bad people?”
He initially didn’t know, it was the second day that Ying Zijin arrived in O-state when she called him.
It was too late to find her then, as she could have been anywhere.
“Then they should probably go to the hospital.”
“…”
After thinking it over, Old Master Zhong still said, “Zijin, Wanwan has a big issue with you, but it’s her fault. You don’t need to accommodate me.”
“Grandpa, don’t worry.” Ying Zijin stood up, “I have someone else to meet, I’ll come see you again tomorrow.”
Old Master Zhong waved his hand, very pleased.
But after the girl left, he suddenly felt something was amiss.
Could it be that little rascal from the Fu Family?
Old Master Zhong felt there was no other possibility, and he immediately became displeased, picking up his phone to dial: “Old Man Fu, how many times do I have to say it? Control your grandson. Stop talking nonsense about children and grandchildren having their own blessings!”
**
Thirty minutes later.
In the city center.
Ying Zijin got out of the taxi.
In front of a bar at the intersection, a man leaned against the glass door, his long legs slightly bent.
His charm was naturally exquisite.
He seemed to sense something and lifted his head, the coldness in his eyes fading away.
His peach-blossom eyes curved into a smile, as if a breeze had swept over, rippling the clear waters.
Fu Yunshen lifted his hand, habitually ruffling her hair, his voice holding back a laugh, “Kid, back from traveling?”
Ying Zijin remembered that before she left, the vice-principal had asked her to reinforce Norton University’s physical protection system.
Pressing her head, she sighed, “You could say that.”
“In the future, don’t go to faraway places alone.” Fu Yunshen glanced at his phone and turned it off, “I know you need your own personal space, but there are too many bad people out there.”
Ying Zijin paused for a moment.
His words sounded just like those of her grandfather.
“Let’s go eat,” Fu Yunshen checked the time, “There’s a new private kitchen that opened nearby.”
The road wasn’t far, so the two of them walked there.
After walking for about five minutes, Ying Zijin began to sense something wrong with her body.
A wave of pain surged from her abdomen, incomparable to a broken arm, but still hard to endure.
She stopped walking and slowly sat down on a bench at the side of the road, taking slow breaths.
But the pain intensified, overwhelming like roiling waves.
Ying Zijin fell silent.
She had always had a tendency to ignore her own health.
When she first awoke, her body had been pushed to the limit due to a deficit in vigor and excessive consumption.
Sleeping poorly, eating poorly, her periods were irregular if they came at all, much less on time.
This was her first period since stabilizing her health, causing her to forget about it.
As a result, its arrival was tumultuous and intense.
The pain was so severe precisely because her body had been in poor condition before.
Fu Yunshen stopped as well, noticing the girl’s complexion turning pale, with sweat appearing on her forehead, and his expression changed abruptly.
“Yaoyao, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell somewhere?”
“I’m fine.” Ying Zijin’s hand pressed on the bench, her breathing slightly hurried but her tone as calm as ever, “Just menstrual cramps, it’ll pass.”
Fu Yunshen fell silent too: “…”
It was the first time he had encountered this situation.
There weren’t any women around him, Nie Chao was the only one who would discuss such matters with him.
But he was aware of some common knowledge.
Everyone’s physique is different, for some the pain could be unbearable while others could eat ice cream without issue.
Fu Yunshen took off his coat, then bent down to tie the coat around the girl’s waist.
“We can’t stay here,” he said. “Yaoyao, get up, I’ll carry you.”
This area was a pedestrian street, still within its boundaries where cars couldn’t enter.
“I really am fine.” Ying Zijin pressed on her abdomen, “It will get better in a while.”
She had suffered many injuries before, which eventually healed on their own.
“How can it be fine, you might bleed a river soon,” Fu Yunshen replied with patience, “Here’s the plan, there’s a branch of Century Mall ahead, let’s rest there, and I’ll call for a car to the hospital.”
In the urgency of the situation, there wasn’t time for much else, he lifted his arm and slowly carried her in his arms.
Fu Yunshen took another look at the bench to make sure there wasn’t any trace left before proceeding forward.
As her pain increased, Ying Zijin didn’t have much strength left.
She turned her head slightly, catching the familiar scent of Jade and Agarwood.
Calm and tender.
It had the strong power to soothe the mind.
Like being immersed in warm water, gently buoyant.
Her breathing evened out a bit, and she closed her eyes, gradually calming her mind.
**
Inside Century Mall.
As the woman came out of the fitting room, she immediately attracted the attention of other customers.
“Young Madam Fu, this outfit seems tailor-made for you,” the sales assistant exclaimed with admiration. “The model didn’t wear it nearly as well as you do.”
Su Ruan smiled with restraint, “You flatter me.”
There was a family banquet at the Fu’s in two days, she had just come back and couldn’t afford to lose face.
“Young Madam Fu, would you like to take a look at some accessories?” the sales assistant offered eagerly, but noticed Su Ruan frowning towards the entrance of the mall.
The sales assistant looked over too, pausing for a moment before recalling the gossip.
The rumor was that Su Ruan was initially the fiancée arranged for Fu Yunshen by Old Master Fu, but Su Ruan, finding Yunshen too indulgent and irresponsible, turned to marry the legitimate grandson of the Fu Family, Yunshen’s elder brother.
Su Ruan naturally noticed, the man was holding a girl in his arms, and displeasure knitted her brows.
She was right not to choose him back then; otherwise, there would be numerous illegitimate children by now.
“I don’t want to see him. If he’s here, I won’t stay. If I’m here, he should leave,” Su Ruan said indifferently, looking away as if she didn’t even want to catch a glimpse of Fu Yunshen, “Ask him to leave now.”
