The Tyrant Covets The S*ave - Chapter 26
Suddenly flowers?
A different color rose in Beher’s clear eyes as he reflected in her eyes.
As if there was no intention, he constantly stared at her. He stood with a droopy posture. Some of his fingers had no nails as if they had been torn off many times.
Even though she knew the boy wouldn’t hurt her, according to his body’s language and speech. She observed everything. Like a hyena struggling to survive.
When Beher was silent for so long, the boy, who misunderstood that she was in a bad mood, stammered.
“Ah…I’m sorry. I thought Madam liked flowers… I was going to give you one. Oh…. You may refuse.”
Beher giggled as she heard his slurred speech. A jolting vibration occurred in her stomach. If he was so frightened in front of her, she wondered how he appeared in front of the emperor. She could imagine it without seeing it.
The boy’s eyes shook greatly and he lowered his tense body as Beher could not hold back her laughter easily.
“…….”
“I see. So you were going to give me a gift. I will treasure it, so will you bring it to me?”
The sunlight spreading through the trees illuminated Beher like a stage light. The boy couldn’t help but be mesmerized on the spot. Soon the desire to give her the flowers disappeared. It was only her in his mind at that moment.
“I’ll wait for you here, quickly.”
Beher urged the boy on. It bothered her that she left Lucai and came here alone. She didn’t know why but she sensed that he was going to be mad.
As if the boy had finally come to his senses, he ran far away, his legs jittery. As Beher watched him, she heard the sound of leaves being stepped on nearby.
Are there other gardeners here?
She didn’t think anyone was there.
Beher turned around. There was a familiar scent of grass.
What could it be?
She couldn’t see the man’s face. Just as she was about to check his face, Beher’s shoulder was caught roughly.
The man took a step toward her. Beher backed away as if swept away by a wave. There was only one person who would act this way toward her.
Grand Duke Lucai.
The sun sank into his dark hair. His high nose and sensual lips. His red eyes glared at her as if he was going to kill her.
Beher’s back slammed into a tree a little over a foot tall. The unprepared impact caused her pain, but it quickly subsided at the sound of Lucai’s voice.
“I fell asleep for a while and you did something terrible, huh.”
He had an angry face. Was he angry because she left his side?
Beher tried to shake his hand off. But as if anticipating her action, Lucai’s hand squeezed her shoulder more tightly.
It hurt.
She wanted him to let go, but it seemed better not to. The look in his eyes was so bleak that if she refused him, he would tear her up right away.
Beher’s pure eyes shook.
“Let go…”
“With whose permission?”
“I don’t understand why Your Highness is suddenly doing this. I was just walking along the forest path when Your Highness seemed to fall asleep for a while.”
It was the truth.
“Lies.”
Lucai turned his head at an angle. His sharp chin looked three-dimensional. The bloodline stood out as if he was holding back anger.
“You’re lying…”
No.
Beher couldn’t speak her words as Lucai attacked her lips.
Her skin was torn by the forced kiss. She tasted blood. She couldn’t even turn away. Her body trembled at the feeling of his tongue licking her as if he was marking his territory.
“Haaaa…!”
There was no time to breathe. The kiss took away her breath, and Beher tapped Lucai on the shoulder. He had no response as he raised her hands in the air.
He bit her lips with his teeth as the space between their lips did not open easily. The hot tongue pushed its way between her lips that were forced open by pain.
Tongue and tongue became entwined. She choked on the violent kiss. Why was this man suddenly doing this to her? He revealed his obsession. He just wanted to possess the doll. There was nothing more to it than that.
Beher certainly thought so.
She was not sure because she had never experienced any other man. Whether Lucai’s behavior was strange or not. She could not tell the difference.
Finally, their lips fell. In the silent forest only the sound of gasping breath. Her chest rose and fell and did not settle easily. She was dizzy. Her eyes went blank.
Lucai’s hand clenched her chin and lifted it. His face came so close that she could feel his breath. She couldn’t even make the decision to push him as her strength drained.
“Did you come here to do this? He was pretty sweet. Was it that kind of taste?”
“…… what?”
Beher did not understand what he was saying. Despite his shameful remarks, Beher thought of the reason why he was doing this.
He?
Beher thought of the boy who had said he would give her flowers.
Clearly, he was as beautiful as a woman.
Now…Lucai meant that boy?
Was there a reason to bring up the boy? She was just walking along a path in the woods and had a conversation with a boy she happened to meet. She did nothing to harm the relationship with the Grand Duke. So why? Beher felt unfair.
“Did you kiss each other so much that your lips burned? Or did he confess? How did it feel?”
“I don’t know what kind of misunderstanding Your Highness had, but I never did anything embarrassing with that boy.”
“It is a lie when you open your mouth. All you do is to get away from me.”
His eyes turned serious. Beher, not to be outdone, met his gaze.
He had no reason to treat her this way. She had done nothing to harm him.
“Enough of this. I don’t know why you are like this.”
Beher put him in his place with her polite behavior. Beher’s gaze lit up when she called him “you”. She was angry, too.
“You don’t know?”
“No.”
“Okay, you should have told me you didn’t understand.”
“…….”
A voice, more deadly than before, penetrated Beher’s ears.
“First: leave my side without permission.”
“…….”
“Secondly, flirt with a man without permission.”
There was no need to listen to him anymore. They were all silly excuses. He just wanted to torment her,
As Beher tried to turn her head away from him, she stopped at his last words.
“Finally, you smiled at someone else.”
“…….”
It was a word she could have ignored. But she didn’t ignore it.
Somehow an emptiness floated in the corner of his murderous gaze.
Because she smiled at the boy? That kind of thing… She could do that anywhere. Was there a reason he mentioned the boy?
“Or were my skills not good?”
“Your skills?”
Beher unconsciously mumbled what he had asked. She realized what he meant a beat later. Did it matter now?
If they were normal lovers, a couple, she might have mistakenly thought he loved her. But he needed a puppet for his theater. Perhaps because he was not allowed to meet any woman in the meantime, he couldn’t control his desire.
“Say it.”
She hated herself a little as she grew accustomed to his obsessive attitude. She wanted to rest.
“I don’t want to mention sleeping with you. I told you. I said I would go on the theater stage for you. I won’t do you any harm because I have something to receive too. So… I’ll be your doll thoroughly during the contract period, so don’t worry.”
It was a fact that she said many times. She said it again straightforwardly because she wanted this situation to stop.
As long as she didn’t start the relationship by building trust, she began to understand his behavior to a certain extent. It was strange, but….
“…… doll?”
Lucai said in a low voice. The bleak look in his eyes subsided. He
turned his head a little dimly, and Beher tried to understand his appearance when she spotted the boy running from a distance.
“Let go of my hand.”
Lucai had grabbed her roughly and seemed to bruise her wrist.
She wondered what she would do if he used force again. Fortunately, Lucai let go of her quietly. Meanwhile, Beher approached the boy.
There was a shallow wind as she passed by Lucai. Slowly, Beher’s dress fluttered.
A desire to turn around arose. Lucai seemed to be drooping. But he was definitely not that kind of man. How could he hang up on one woman? It wasn’t like him.
“Madam….!”
“You’re here.”
Beher was glad the boy came at just the right moment. Otherwise, she might have faced him awkwardly.
“I’m sorry. I inadvertently put it where it would be in the sun.”
Without wiping the sweat from his forehead, the boy handed Beher a pure white flower.
“It’s called daisy.”
The shape of each small petal bloomed looked lovely.
Beher took the flower and smelled it. The fragrant smell tickled her nose.
“It’s a flower for a beautiful woman. It represents hope and peace. It’s a flower that suits Madam well.”
Was the flower for her ?
She could not relate to those words.
But it was hope and peace. It was her favorite flower language. It seemed like it could do a lot of good for her heart and the people around her.
As they were talking happily, Beher turned around, suddenly thinking of Lucai.
When did he leave? But he disappeared, leaving only a cool breeze behind.
