‘That man said he is Sophia’s father, right?’
The next day, Sophia called an emergency meeting with Arena, and the three of them, together with Orion, faced each other.
Isolte was terribly worried about Sophia, who had a serious look on her face after returning from the tea party at the Duke’s residence, but she was careful to stay out of the way so as not to disturb the conversation with her Mistress friends.
In the room where the three reincarnated guests were alone, Sophia decided to explain in detail what had happened yesterday.
As she was about to leave the tea party at the Duke of Levord’s mansion, a man suddenly appeared and called himself Sophia’s father.
The man’s name was Gassour, and it seems that he was hired as a gatekeeper when Sophia’s mother, Riserte, was working at the castle. Shortly after Riserte was forced to leave the castle, Gassour quit his job and looked for her, but was unable to find her. Gassour said that Liselte must have found out that she was pregnant and, not wanting to cause Gassour any trouble, disappeared from his life.
“That’s a bit of a contradiction, Sophia’s mother was chased out of the castle because she had an affair with His Majesty. It would be strange if she had another lover”.
“Right?”
“I thought so too, but Gassour insisted that I was his child and wouldn’t listen to me.”
Sophia was confused at that time, and Mr Gassour left, asking her to come and see him because he now lives in the area where Sophia once lived..
Randall, who usually calls Sophia a fake princess, was surprised by Gassour’s sudden appearance and told her that he would look into the matter and that she should not take any chances.
“I’ve bought the “Snow of Glastona” strategy book and setting book, but I’ve never seen Gassour’s name in them”.
“…… you even bought the book?”
Orion looked at her in surprise, but stopped teasing Sophia when Arena said, “Oh, I have one too.
“The setting book says that Sophia is His Majesty’s child. Gassour cannot be your father.”
“But if he wasn’t, why did he show up out of the blue? He said he and my mother were lovers”.
“I don’t think that’s possible either. A maid and a gatekeeper? I don’t think there is any connection between them.
“But you know what? If he is neither your father nor your mother’s lover, then Gassour is lying, isn’t he? Why would he bother with such a lie?”
Orion saids something plausible, and silence falls over the room.
If – if, that is.
‘If he is Sophia’s real father, as Gassour says, what the hell will happen to Sophia?’
If the evidence that Gassour is Sophia’s father is gathered, Randall will surely divorce Sophia who is a commoner. On the contrary, he could be accused of plotting against the king.
“I know it wasn’t in the …… Glastona’s Snow story, but if Mr. Gassour were my father, this would definitely be a doomed end, wouldn’t it?”
“Yes. ……. Imprisonment, banishment, or worse, death. ……”
No!
Sophia screamed, clutching her head.
“This is not good! This is not good!”
“Why? We haven’t even started the prologue of the game yet! It’s two years later! This is crazy!”
“Calm down, Sofia. We haven’t even decided that Gassour is your father yet”.
Arena tries to calm Sofia down, but Sofia, who is on the verge of breakdown because she is imagining the worst possible future, gets up and walks around the room.
“What if Randall divorces me? What if I’m executed!”
Randall, who treats Sophia like a fake, is surely not going to defend her.
Sophia is sure that Randall, who treats her like an imposter, will not defend her.
“It’s not confirmed yet. We won’t know anything until we investigate”.
Orion grabbed Sophia’s hand and sat her down on the sofa.
“Let’s find out if Gassour was really the gatekeeper at the castle. Whether he had contact with your mother at that time. Leave it to me.”
Arena puts her hand on Sophia’s shoulder.
