The Villain’s Mother - Chapter 306
Chapter 306 – For Little Wang and for you (2)
Song Tingshen was currently mopping. Hearing this, he said, “Two bedrooms probably won’t be enough room. I need an extra room for home office space. Even if I don’t use it, Little Wang can use it. I think it’s better that a child’s study area isn’t in their bedroom. How can he have the energy to study if he sees his bed?”
Ruan Xia thoughtfully nodded. “What you say makes a lot of sense. Three bedrooms is pretty good. When Little Wang goes to college, he can stay in the dorms, and we can rent out the extra bedroom. The rent income on that will definitely be high.”
There was at least 14 more years before Little Wang would go to college… to consider the issue of renting now was planning too far in advance.
Song Tingshen paused. “So in your mind, if we move, you’ll sleep in the same room as me?”
Ruan Xia froze in surprise. Soon after, her face started to feel hot. Was that the important point? That wasn’t the key point at all.
“I didn’t say that.”
Song Tingshen pretended to be disappointed. “Then where do you plan on having me sleep?”
Ruan Xia harrumphed. “There’s still the kitchen, bathroom, and living room. Take your pick.”
“Even Little Wang has a room.” Song Tingshen sighed.
The two discussed decorating, and without noticing, the afternoon passed. Although the hourly worker did a good job, Ruan Xia still felt that the house was a bit cleaner when she did it herself. It was just that by the time they finished cleaning the whole house, it was already dark. She and Song Tingshen slumped onto the sofa like dogs. Neither of them were willing to move. Living in a bigger house was naturally more comfortable, but that required the prerequisite of not having to clean it yourself.
Song Tingshen stretched out his hand and held her hand. “Little Wang is right. You’ve been working very hard lately.”
He had experienced her daily life today. It was only now that he realized her days weren’t more relaxed than his. In the place that he couldn’t see, she had worked hard to keep their entire home clean and tidy. It looked easy to make a home full of life, but to actually do it was very difficult.
Looking at the ceiling, Ruan Xia burst into laughter. “I don’t work nearly as hard as you. You leave work early and come home late. I’m sure you don’t even eat lunch on time.”
“There’s something I want to ask you.” Song Tingshen raised his hand to look at the time. He had finished experiencing this enough. It was time to get to the point. “You’ve been acting weird lately. You bought groceries, cooked, cleaned, kept a record of expenses, and…” He paused. “Did you quietly transfer the real estate under your name?”
Ruan Xia’s heart leapt up to her throat. She ummed and ahhed, unable to explain.
“It’s also my fault for being too busy lately. Tell me the truth. Do you think Song Corporation is going bankrupt because it encountered a crisis?” Song Tingshen finally asked. “I’ve told you before that this is a problem that any company will face, and I’ll be able to resolve it.”
Since he had already said it, Ruan Xia didn’t think there was a need to keep hiding. She honestly said, “… I am a little worried. And it looks like the problem this time isn’t small. I can’t help you much and my imagination has a tendency to run wild…”
She somewhat dejectedly said, “I’m not an optimistic person. I have a habit of always thinking about the worst outcome whenever I do anything. I want to change that about myself. Song Tingshen, it’s not that I don’t believe in you. It’s just my personality. You’re busy with your work. I can’t help you, and I don’t want to drag you down and make you worry. So I can only do what I can to save this family as much as possible. Even without taking ten thousand steps back, if the company does go bankrupt, I want to save more stuff and money at home for Little Wang and for you.”
