Chapter 40: Slaughter
Chu Ge walked lightly back to the chair. Then, he kicked the chair to the ground with a bang, and quickly hid behind the door, while holding the Tang Sword in his hand.
The chair crashed to the ground, which had immediately aroused a reaction from the people outside.
“Hey, could that kid be awake?”
“He shouldn’t be up so soon. I guess he fell to the ground while he was sleeping. We will know once we go in and have a look.”
As the voices spoke, the door was suddenly opened. The man with the bowl cut walked in. When he saw the empty chair that had fallen to the ground, his expression immediately changed.
At that moment, Chu Ge pressed down on the man’s shoulder. The man wearing the black suit turned around and immediately made eye contact with Chu Ge.
“Go die!” Chu Ge shouted as he used the Tang Sword in his hand and stabbed the man in the heart. The sword pierced right through him and came out the other side.
Blood crazily spurted out, as it was sprayed all over Chu Ge’s body. The man wearing the black suit opened his mouth wide and let out a whimper. His eyes rolled back in disbelief. Chu Ge stepped over his body and immediately rushed out. He happened to see another man wearing a black suit, who had been smoking earlier, standing outside the door. He was holding a lighter in his hand, about to light a second cigarette. Before he had the time to react, Chu Ge cut him in the face. Immediately, he screamed as he covered his face and fell to the ground.
Chu Ge’s desire to kill had been ignited, and he mercilessly added another stab. As soon as he had pulled the sword out of the body, the door of the warehouse opened.
“Hey, what the heck are you guys doing? Keep your voices down,” scolded a guy while he walked in. He was also wearing a black suit and had hair that was parted in the middle. When he saw Chu Ge, who was covered in blood, and the body on the ground, the expression on his face suddenly changed. Chu Ge was about to rush towards the man with the sword, but that man suddenly took something out from under his arm.
It was a handgun! Chu Ge’s heart suddenly tightened. Immediately after, he had doubts in his heart. It is probably fake, right?
He could not help but have such a feeling because he had a lot of opinions about guns ever since he was a child. Whether it would be inside the games or film and television, he had seen a lot about them but had never seen a real gun. Therefore, he thought that it could be fake. Who knew that the man would fire the weapon as soon as he lifted it. With a bang, the bullet flew right past him.
Chu Ge’s heart skipped a beat. Sh*t. It was a real gun. He automatically turned around to hide.
Bang! Another shot was fired, but this time he was not as lucky. Chu Ge felt his stomach starting to hurt. He had been shot.
Sh*t! That hurts! At first, he felt like a wasp had stung him, but then severe pain immediately spread from the wound. At that moment, the strength in his entire body seemed to have disappeared.
Chu Ge quickly jumped to the side and hid back behind the door that was behind him.
While learning against the wall by the door, Chu Ge felt a pain that he had never felt before. He thought to himself that it was over. He was going to die. He covered his stomach with one hand as blood flowed out from between his fingers. It felt sticky and hot. His other hand trembled as he took out a bottle of Health Potion from his bag and eagerly drank it.
The effect of the potion worked almost instantly.
He could feel his muscles healing, and the pain quickly weakened and soon disappeared. However, there was still a slight pain in the place where he was shot. But Chu Ge knew that it was just a sign left by his nerves.
He pulled his clothes open to look at his stomach. He noticed that at the place where the bullet had pierced him, there was not even a scar.
He breathed a sigh of relief. Luckily, he had a bottle of Health Potion. This thing was so f*cking magical. He looked at the bottle in his hand and felt so grateful that he decided he would have to get more bottles in the future.
The footsteps outside the door were gradually approaching him. Obviously, that man was afraid that Chu Ge might not be dead, and he wanted to put an extra bullet inside Chu Ge just to be sure. However, he did not dare to rush inside.
Chu Ge waited for a few seconds with the sword in his hand. However, that person had not arrived, and instead, he heard keystrokes. That man was calling for help. This time, Chu Ge became anxious.
In the midst of an emergency, Chu Ge suddenly had a plan in his mind.
Corpse Resurrection! Chu Ge cast the skill on the body of the man in black that was lying on the ground. Immediately, his body slowly got up from the ground, and then under the control of Chu Ge’s mind, he crawled towards the door.
For the guy outside who was on the phone, he had connected someone, “Hey boss, something happened. I think I killed that kid. Also, Ah Biao…Huh? Ah, Biao, you didn’t die? Sh*t, are you okay? Is that kid dead?” Chu Ge heard the guy with the gun ask in a trembling voice. It seemed like he wanted to help Ah Biao stand up. Through the zombie’s eyes, Chu Ge could see that the guy with the gun was slowly approaching.
Go! As soon as Chu Ge said this in his head, the zombie pounced towards the guy with the gun.
“Sh*t, Ah Biao, what are you doing?” The man did not know what was going on. He was immediately pushed to the ground, “Ah Biao, are you crazy?!”
Great opportunity! Chu Ge suddenly walked around the door and then saw that the zombie was hassling the man with a gun in one hand and a phone in the other.
Chu Ge quickly walked over and kicked the gun away from the man. Then, he directly placed the sword on the man’s neck. With a thought in his head, the zombie slowly retreated to one side.
The split-haired man no longer dared to move.
Chu Ge directly grabbed the phone and turned it off.
When the man with the curtain hairstyle saw that Chu Ge was very much alive as if he hadn’t been shot, he was surprised, “You, how come you’re not hurt? This is impossible. I obviously injured you!”
“Shut up,” Chu Ge punched the man on the nose. The man with the curtain hairstyle immediately stopped talking. “Now, I will ask the questions, and you answer. If I am satisfied with your answer, I will spare your life. Otherwise, you will bear the consequences. The first question, who sent you?”
The man kept his mouth shut as if he was not planning on talking at all.
Chu Ge’s anger suddenly welled up inside, “Ah, you are quite a tough guy. Ha, Okay, I will see how tough you really are.”
Chu Ge directly condensed a fireball in his hand and pressed it in the man’s face.
There was no Fire Resistance Suit, and the flames immediately burned his skin.
“Argh! No, don’t! I’ll talk, I’ll talk!” The sound of his screams and the smell of burnt flesh made Chu Ge feel sick. He raised his hand and took the flame away from the man’s face.
“Tell me who it is.”
“It’s Brother Yu. He was the one who asked us to do it.”
“Brother Yu? Which Brother Yu?” Chu Ge thought to himself that he did not know anyone named Brother Yu.
“He Zhenyu from Xingyu Security Company.”
Chu Ge thought about it and confirmed that he had never heard of this name before, “Why did he want you to kidnap me?”
“I don’t know. I’m just following orders. He said he would contact me after we captured you.”
“Try saying you don’t know one more time!” As soon as Chu Ge glared at him, the flame condensed again in his hand.
“Okay, okay. I’ll tell you. It has something to do with a gold mine. He asked us to ask you about the gold mine. We meant no harm. We just wanted to ask you a few questions.”
Gold mine!? Chu Ge was stunned after he heard what the man said. He wondered what gold mine? Could it be the Abandoned Quarry? But how did he know about it?
Kobold’s Gold!? It’s f*cking Jin Fugui! With just a few questions, Chu Ge finally understood what was going on. He had only sold his gold twice, and they were all sold to Jin Fugui. There was no doubt that it had something to do with him. This brat probably thought he had discovered a gold mine and thought that the Kobold’s Gold was dug from the mine.
“He actually sent people to kidnap me. This guy sure has a wild f*cking imagination!” Chu Ge thought.
While Chu Ge was thinking, the expression on his face kept getting gloomier.
The man with the curtain hairstyle asked in a trembling voice, “Um brother, I have told you everything I know. Shouldn’t you let me go now?”
A cold smile appeared on Chu Ge’s face, “Let you the f*ck go? Are you stupid or pretending to be stupid? I killed both of your accomplices. Do you think I can let you go? What? Let you go to so you can find people to help you take revenge? You sure have the nerve to be in the underworld with just this much intelligence.”
There was a look of despair on the man’s face. He knew that his situation was probably not going to get better, but he still had a bit of hope.
“You don’t be arrogant. My brother will avenge me.”
“Don’t worry. I will send your brother down to accompany you in the future.” After saying that, Chu Ge no longer bothered to talk nonsense with him again, so he stabbed the man with his sword.
Watching the blood gush out of the man’s throat, Chu Ge’s pupils gradually expanded, and Chu Ge’s anger slowly disappeared.
Then, he felt nausea. It was not because he had killed someone, but because of the bloody and strange smell in the air.
Killing people in the real world was obviously different from killing people inside the Instance Dungeons. Chu Ge never knew that a person could bleed so much.
In any case, it was not suitable for him to stay here much longer. Chu Ge thought about it and decided that it was best to destroy the body. He directly stuffed the three bodies into the Black Leather Pouch.
This particular item was indeed magical. Three adult bodies had occupied only three sections.
Chu Ge took off his clothes that were covered with blood and found a tap to wash the blood on his body. The clothes could not be washed, so he burned them. Fortunately, he had brought a coat with him before he left the house, afraid that it would get cold at night. He took the coat out of the bag and wore it. Right when he was about to leave, he suddenly remembered something and went to search. Sure enough, there was a black handgun hiding in the corner. It was the gun he kicked away during the fight earlier.
Chu Ge went and picked it up. It was a .54 caliber gun. The metal body of the gun felt heavy in his hand. This was the first time he saw a real gun, so he could not help but feel a little excited. He ejected the magazine and saw that there were still six bullets left.
This thing was a good weapon. One shot had severely injured him, so it probably had at least 60 points of piercing damage, which was a lot more powerful than an ordinary bow and arrow. Although there were only six bullets, it was probably enough to kill a Boss.
Chu Ge stuffed the gun into his pocket, then turned around and left the warehouse.
It was dark outside, but he could tell that he was on the outskirts of the suburbs. He was able to see the distant roads and the lights of cars passing from time to time. A Jinbei van stopped outside the door. Chu Ge hesitated for a moment but did not get on. Instead, he walked towards the distant road.
