Chapter 42: A Drone
Chu Ge thought that he would be opening another fantasy-type Instance Dungeon. After all, the so-called camouflage skill or camouflage tools were the most common in a fantasy-type Instance Dungeon, such as transformation items in the World of Warcraft, like the Orb of the Sin’dorei, Orb of Deception, or the delicious Wind Snake.
It was reasonable for these types of items to exist in a fantasy game. However, Chu Ge had never expected to open an Instance Dungeon with a Wuxia background. This left him speechless.
But this was not a big deal. Except for the camouflage ability Chu Ge wanted, martial arts was something he welcomed, even though magic was also exciting. The greatest advantage of martial arts was that he could use it in the real world at any time. Unlike magic, where he usually wouldn’t dare to let other people see it. Such worries did not exist for martial arts.
Chu Ge just wasn’t sure if he would be able to learn things like the legendary inner energy cultivation. When he thought about jumping more than 10 meters high, his body so light like a swallow where he could leap onto roofs and over walls, or killing someone across space with the Finger-Flicking skill or the Six-pulse Excalibur skill, it made him excited.
Although Chu Ge knew that a Noob Level Instance Dungeon could not have such abnormal martial arts, he still could not wait to go into the Instance Dungeon and start sweeping through it.
However, before he went into the Instance Dungeon, he still had to determine the strength of the enemy. The difficulty level this time was hard. Even though this difficulty level of a Noob Level Instance Dungeon was probably not going to be too high, it would still be harder than the last Instance Dungeon he went into.
Chu Ge first clicked on the information of the Instance Dungeon Boss.
System: You need to consume 40 DKP to unlock this information. Would you like to proceed?
Chu Ge did not click proceed. He only wanted to see how many Bosses there were in this Instance Dungeon. It would require 10 DKP to unlock the data of one Boss. This meant that there was a total of four Bosses in this Instance
Dungeon.
Chu Ge thought about it before running to the utility room next to him and taking out a box.
Then, he went through the entrance of the Instance Dungeon while carrying the box.
After passing through the screen, he saw a field of green. The entrance of the Instance Dungeon was located halfway up a mountain. The mountain was not steep. Looking back, he could see the road up the mountain that extended into the distance. He could even see some villages and towns at the bottom of the mountain, but it was very blurry. It seemed that an invisible wall had surrounded the entire space where the Instance Dungeon was located.
Chu Ge reached out to explore, and sure enough, there was an invisible wall. The road in front of him was obviously the way down the mountain, yet he could not walk to it. There was an air wall. That was interesting.
Looking ahead, there was an archway not far from Chu Ge. It had the words ‘Fierce Tiger Villa’ written on it in large letters, which emitted an imposing aura. Further ahead was the gate of the mountain stronghold. The gate was open, and outside the entrance stood two large men wearing heavy armor and holding steal sabers. Their names were displayed as [Fierce Tiger Villa Minions].
Chu Ge did not walk forward. He was not even wearing armor or holding a weapon. He put the box down on the ground where he stood. After opening it, there was a small drone with a camera and operating equipment inside.
This drone was bought during the massive shopping spree Chu Ge went on after passing through the Abandoned Quarry. It was initially intended to be used to investigate the terrain of Instance Dungeons. Unfortunately, the last Instance Dungeon was underground. The space was very narrow, and it was so dark that there was no opportunity for the drone to be used. However, this time it was different. This kind of open-air Instance Dungeon was the perfect place to investigate the Instance Dungeon map, and the number of Bosses and small monsters using this drone. It also meant no DKP consumption was required to unlock the information. Although he would not be able to get as many details as the information unlocked through DKP consumption, at least Chu Ge would be able to get to know the enemy better.
Chu Ge connected the drone to the power, then used the remote to make the drone fly.
He familiarized himself with the operations, and then he controlled the drone to fly into the depths of the villa. Through the remote-control screen, he could clearly see the plants and trees inside the villa.
This Fierce Tiger Villa was built on the mountain. Because the mountain itself was not very tall, the villa was built directly on the slope from the hillside to the top of the mountain. All the buildings of the entire villa formed a zigzag line. At the bottom was a separate residential area surrounded by buildings, which accounted for about half of the whole villa. However, most of these buildings looked messy and old, obviously belonging to the area outside the Instance Dungeon. These buildings were built around a martial arts arena, where the monsters were mainly a few mountain thieves, bandits, and robbers. A small number of Fierce Tiger Villa Minions were distributed in small groups around the martial arts arena, while in the middle of the arena stood a young swordsman wearing green clothes and holding a sword in his arms. There was a skeleton next to his name. This person was the first Boss of this Instance Dungeon.
Wang Xu (Sky Sword Sect’s expelled disciple).
Chu Ge thought this set-up looked pretty cool. Sky Sword Sect’s expelled disciple? He was likely powerful.
After the martial arts arena, there was a relatively short mountain road, which led to the second area of buildings located halfway up the hillside. These buildings were obviously built there on purpose and could be regarded as the central part of the mountain stronghold. The names of the small monsters in this area were [Fierce Tiger Villa Minions] and [Fierce Tiger Villa Patrols].
A second Boss was sitting on a platform. However, this Boss was not just one person. Instead, there were a total of four people.
Zhang Ada (Four Ghosts of Mount Tai), Wang Baoping (Four Ghosts of Mount Tai), Lilao Yaozi (Four Ghosts of Mount Tai), Zhao Qing (Four Ghosts of Mount Tai).
Was this the martial arts version of F4? Although their names did not sound like they were experts, there were four of them, so this Boss would still be tricky to deal with. Chu Ge shook his head and continued to fly the drone higher.
The road to the top of the mountain was very long. In the middle of the road, there was a small path to the right. At the end of this small path stood a house made of mud and stone. ‘Prison’ was written in big letters across the house. It seemed like this building was a prison or something similar.
There was a magnificent hall at the end of the road, which led to the top of the mountain. Outside the hall was another martial arts arena, on which sat a large man, who was well-built with an imposing posture, and had round eyes and a well-formed forehead. Next to this man was a Nine-ringed Saber.
Hu Yiba (Lord of the Fierce Tiger Villa).
Next to Hu Yiba lay a tiger with upward-slanting eyes and a white forehead, and as the drone recorded it, the tiger was snoring.
Tiger (Hu Yiba’s pet).
“My god, there’s was actually a tiger,” Chu Ge thought. This villa was indeed worthy of the name ‘Fierce Tiger Villa.’ This Boss was two-bodied.
But why were there only three Bosses? What about the fourth one?
Chu Ge flew the drone around the Instance Dungeon a couple of times, but he was unable to find the fourth Boss. It seemed to be inside one of the buildings.
Apart from the three Bosses, Chu Ge also observed the small monsters inside the villa. There were roughly three types of small monsters.
The first type was like gatekeepers. They were called the Fierce Tiger Villa Minions, and they seemed to be the most common monster. There were around as many as 30 to 40 of them, and they were all widely spread across the entire villa.
The second type of small monsters were patrol monsters with dogs. They were called the Fierce Tiger Villa Patrols and had only appeared on the two roads that went up to the top of the mountain. Theses monsters were patrol monsters, each of whom had a dog with them.
The third kind of small monsters was a group of mixed monsters with unique names. These monsters included deserters who became fugitives, bandits, and robbers. They were mainly distributed around the bottom of the villa in groups of three or five.
After Chu Ge finished investigating the villa, he had a good understanding of this place. He controlled the drone and had it fly higher. When he flew the drone more than 20 meters above the top of the mountain, he found he was unable to fly any higher. Huh? There was an air wall?
He flew the drone around again and found that there were quite a lot of air walls that surrounded the entire Fierce Tiger Villa.
There was even an air wall behind Chu Ge. Although he could see the way down the hill in the distance, he wasn’t able to reach that road. After walking a few steps, he was blocked by an invisible wall.
Once Chu Ge had finished looking around, he packed away the drone and left the Instance Dungeon.
