Chapter 441: 247 Talent Level 9
In the Land of Bone, after Dean McKenzie had completed the eighth-turn trial, he immediately started preparing for the Ninth-turn Trial.
The first step was level advancement.
This was the easiest part. The Land of Bone was teeming with monsters. With just a mere thought, Dean could eradicate these beasts, enabling his level to rise.
However, Dean chose not to grind his levels within the Land of Bone.
He planned to venture into dungeons.
The rewards he had received during his last visit to the Goblin Dungeon were still fresh in his mind. With nothing better to do, Dean wanted to test if he could loot some dungeon rewards.
Such a strategy would not only allow him to level up but also bring in some additional rewards. If he could reap a reward that could double his attributes, won’t that be a windfall?
However, reality proved that Dean was being overly optimistic.
Though he had indeed claimed rewards from several dungeons, each bringing in pretty impressive SSS-level rewards, none of those prizes were of much use to Dean at his current standing.
The best loot he got was just an SS-level trait.
As for attribute bonuses, the maximum was ten million. There was absolutely no chance for a double!
Dean’s calculations proved to be off.
“Seems like it’s impossible to simply farm attribute points from dungeons!”
After a few dungeon runs, Dean quickly came to this conclusion. Even though he was slightly disappointed, the dungeons had not cost him much time, clocking in at just a day in total. And he had managed to shoot his level up to 180.
Then, Dean brushed himself off and started preparing for the Ninth-turn.
However, when he started, he wrinkled his brows.
He didn’t have a Ninth-turn Task Scroll, and the only option he had now was the Abyss Difficult Mode.
However, the Abyss would only grant a maximum of 50-fold attribute enhancement.
This was absolutely unacceptable to Dean.
His current attributes were already ticking in the trillions.
The gap between 50-fold and 90-fold was a staggering 1060 trillion!
Take note, that’s trillion, not billion, and certainly not a mere ten million.
A trillion was equivalent to ten billion.
1060 trillion was equivalent to 10.6 million billion!
Such a yawning chasm was something Dean simply couldn’t accept.
“Shall I first try to break the seal and leave?”
While deliberating over this, Dean’s eyes wandered towards the small world outside the Land of Bone.
Over ninety percent of the outer world had already been devoured by the Land of Bone, leaving behind just a small part.
Concerning this last bit, Dean was in no mood to continue devouring it.
This was because this little leftover part was connected to those Heavenly Abysses, and if he devoured them, the Land of Bone would have to face those Abysses directly.
Dean certainly didn’t relish the idea of his sanctuary having too many backdoors. Hence, he had no intention of devouring them. He merely planned to play a waiting game – once he had accumulated enough power, he would destroy these Abysses and the seal, and take the Land of Bone away from this small world.
And right now, he was preparing to test whether he could break these seals.
“Given my current attributes, breaking these seals shouldn’t be a problem, right?”
As he spoke, Dean’s eyes narrowed, preparing to give it a shot – but before he could act, he saw one of the seals break with a ‘rip’ sound.
Then, Dean’s gaze met a pair of beautiful eyes.
….
On the other side, in the Charming Demon Region of the Abyss.
Kavita Ryan Jenny Connolly, the Charming Demon (omitting five hundred words), was currently lounging in a bath exceeding a thousand square meters in size. The bath was constructed with semi divine materials, filled with the fresh blood of creatures possessing tiny divine power.
She was enjoying her bath and brought out a little broken orb she had with her.
This orb was a gift from a medium divine power demon who was head over heels for Kavita. He claimed that a small world was inside, and he wanted to present it as a gift to Kavita.
Gifting away a world as a present, one had to admit the grandiosity of these beings.
As she toyed with the orb, feeling the seals on it, Kavita was quite satisfied with the gift.
She was not only pleased with the value of the gift but also appreciated the effort of the medium divine power demon.
“Speaking of which, I should probably give him an answer now!”
The thoughtful Kavita played with the orb, her beautiful eyes slightly squinting.
She wasn’t planning to kick her devoted admirer to the curb. In fact, among her many devoted followers, this medium divine power demon was one of the most exceptional.
He had both power and backgrounds, along with pure feelings for her!
For a Charming Demon, he was certainly one of the top tier devotees, brimming with potential to evolve into a lover.
Kavita’s prior hesitation in furthering the relationship was because she had set her sights on another target. He was also a medium divine power being, but with far superior background, talent, and power.
As a Charming Demon, she definitely aimed for the strong when choosing a partner.
Would anyone in their right minds choose love over a powerful background and a wide realm of possibilities?
For a Charming Demon, attachment to a strong entity was their definition of love.
Sadly, Kavita’s previous choice had recently found his own target and had started ignoring her after being coquettish with her. Instead, he was hell-bent on courting the new Charming Demon Princess.
Kavita was extremely disgruntled about this but had no solutions.
She could not match up to the beauty of the Demon Princess who had not only inherited the pinnacle inheritance of the Charming Demon clan, but also became the Charming Demon Princess in every way.
