Chapter 24: Skeleton Legion vs Skeleton Legion!
There was good news and bad news.
The good news was that Bruce had finally determined where the Omni points came from and how they were gained.
Omni points were indeed obtained by killing elite-level monsters.
However, when Bruce reached the advanced level, he could obtain one Omni point by killing any elite monster. When he advanced to the elite level, he could only obtain one Omni point by killing at least two elite monsters.
As his strength increased, the Omni points provided by the elite monsters would gradually decrease.
When he became a warrior, perhaps only warrior-level monsters could provide him with Omni points.
Of course, this did not mean that elite monsters would always provide him with Omni points. His level, attributes, and even his skills were all affected by the Omni points.
Omni points seemed to have encouraged and inspired Bruce to continuously challenge higher-level existences.
The eight skeleton generals provided him with 4 Omni points, which was good news.
The bad news was that the skeleton commander had appeared.
All the skeleton generals and skeleton corps that Bruce had been hunting belonged to the Skeleton King.
When he was hunting for his first and second skeleton corps, the Skeleton King did not respond with anything. However, when he had started hunting for seven or eight skeleton corps, something strange started to happen.
Perhaps it was an order from the Skeleton King, or perhaps it was an order from the skeleton commander. Within hundreds of kilometers, Bruce realized that no skeleton corps was roaming around alone.
All the skeleton corps under the Skeleton King were gathered under the skeleton commander.
Moreover, the commander of the skeleton commander was looking for traces of Bruce!
After losing those skeleton generals that could be easily defeated, Bruce naturally lost the source of his Omni points. This was naturally bad news.
Bruce’s original plan was to hunt the warrior-ranked skeletons to prepare materials for his next class change.
Now that the skeleton commander had taken the initiative to attack, should this be considered good news?
In the wilderness, Bruce stopped in his tracks and waited for the skeleton commander to attack.
While he was waiting, he opened his attributes panel.
He had killed eight skeleton legions in a row. Even though most of the advanced skeletons were enslaved, the experience points that Bruce had gained from these eight consecutive battles had increased his level by another two levels.
At this moment, his four-dimensional attributes had increased: strength 134, agility 85, vitality 178, and spirit 24.
Such attributes might not be comparable to the warrior-ranked skeletons, but they were not far from it.
He could easily kill an elite skeleton in one hit!
Bruce was not worried about the elite skeletons under the command of the skeleton commander. Even without the assistance of the skeleton underlings, with his current strength, he could attack and retreat at will.
The only thing he needed to consider was how to kill the skeleton commander, who was also being guarded by a vast sea of skeletons.
He pondered in his heart.
Bruce focused his attention on the 4 Omni points he had left.
His four-dimensional attributes were already very high. If he invested 4 Omni points into it, he might not even be able to make a splash. His class template was already at the elite tier. Before he obtained enough warrior class templates, he would not need Omni points.
At this time, only by increasing his skill level could he increase his strength again without changing his stats!
Both of his skills were active skills.
Sky Splitter was an area-of-effect skill that was suitable for clearing small monsters. Gale Combo was a single-target skill. The three slashes that were released in an instant could deal three times the damage of a normal attack.
Considering the upcoming battle, Gale Combo was naturally Bruce’s first choice.
His gaze shifted to Gale Combo. Bruce’s heart skipped a beat. 1 Omni point had been consumed, and Gale Combo’s level had also increased from the default Level 1 to Level 2.
—
“Gale Combo: active skill, Level 2. Consumes 1/3 of your stamina and explodes four blades of light, dealing 70% , 90% , 110% , and 130% damage to the enemy.”
—
His stamina decreased by a little.
The damage increased from the original triple damage to the current quadruple damage.
Not bad.
After he had added the points for the first time, the effect was pretty good. Bruce then invested the remaining 3 Omni points into the skill “Whirlwind Combo.”
When all 4 Omni points were used up, Whirlwind Combo had reached Level 5.
—
“Whirlwind Combo: active skill, Level 5. Consumes one-sixth of your stamina and instantly explodes seven light blades, dealing 40% , 60% , 80% , 100% , 120% , 140% , and 160% damage to the enemy.
—
The stamina consumption was greatly reduced.
After reaching Level 5, the total damage of the seven blades of light released by Gale Combo was seven times more than its normal degree of damage.
What a powerful skill!
If Bruce had doubts about whether he was the opponent of the skeleton commander before this, with the Level 5 [ Gale Combo ], he had absolute confidence to kill the warrior-ranked skeleton!
Everything.
All he had to do was wait for the skeleton commander to arrive.
Time slowly passed.
With the clues that Bruce had deliberately left behind as a guide, after a few hours, the enemy that Bruce had been waiting for had arrived.
The first thing that came into his sight was a deathly white haze.
Eight skeleton armies had been destroyed and devoured in succession. The skeleton commander, who already had a certain level of intelligence, made it a point not to act carelessly.
When it appeared in front of Bruce, it brought along a full skeleton army!
A full skeleton army led by a warrior-ranked skeleton commander! What kind of concept was this?
From the moment the skeleton commander appeared, a dense sea of skeletons spread over from afar, filling up the entire wilderness.
As far as the eye could see, there were at least four to five thousand different types of skeletons appearing in this wilderness.
At the very front, there were still skeleton soldiers.
However, compared to the skeleton army led by the skeleton generals, this army obviously had more skeleton soldiers. For every twenty skeleton soldiers, a skeleton warlord would be serving as the leader and also as the fulcrum for the skeleton commander to command the entire army.
After the skeleton soldiers, there were archers.
There would be skeleton soldiers holding white bone bows as archers, and there would also be advanced-level skeleton archers.
There were hundreds of skeleton archers!
In the center of the sea of skeletons, there were dozens of skeleton mages.
Skeleton soldiers.
Skeleton archers.
Skeleton mages.
The three armies were protecting a tall skeleton covered in rusty armor. This skeleton was the skeleton commander!
Other than the skeleton commander and the three armies, there were many other elite skeletons.
For example, for every group of skeleton archers, there was a corresponding group of elite skeleton archers. There were elite skeleton mages for every group of terrifying mages, and there were elite skeleton guards for every group of skeleton guards.
There were also skeleton warlords, who represent the largest number of elite skeletons.
In this skeleton army of more than four thousand, the number of elite skeletons alone reached more than ten!
Bruce’s army, meanwhile, was composed of different levels.
Bruce himself was an elite-ranked heavy-armored skeleton swordsman.
Thanks to the [ devour ] talent bug, although he was in the elite rank, he had the strength to fight against warriors.
Bruce stared ahead and assessed the upcoming battle.
There was only one elite skeleton.
There were less than a hundred advanced skeletons.
The rest were all skeleton soldiers.
They were both skeleton corps, but they were indeed very different—they were like heaven and earth!
