Chapter 35 Iron Demon Suit
Qin Shi danced around the head of the huge Demon Spirit like a fiery-red butterfly. She grabbed the opportunity and spat out red Demon Light from her palms.
Although it failed to hit the huge Demon Spirit’s eyes, it struck its head several times, leaving burning wounds on its snow-white carapace.
Qin Shi’s Demon Suiter’s call sign was Phoenix. This S-class Demon Suit’s name was also Phoenix. Its Demon Light had a burning characteristic.
Once the Demon Spirit was hit by the Undying Bird’s Demon Light, the wound burned with flames until the entire Demon Spirit was reduced to ashes.
Qin Shi became one of the top hundred Demon Suiters thanks to this Demon Suit.
However, the Phoenix had clearly met its nemesis today. The flames on the wounds quickly extinguished as the wounds healed at a speed visible to the naked eye.
How troublesome. To be immune to burning damage while possessing an extremely powerful self-healing ability. From the looks of it, I can only use that move. Qin Shi couldn’t help but frown.
She made the Demon Suit fly into the sky and temporarily exceed the attack range of the huge Demon Spirit. Qin Shi’s mind was highly focused as fiery patterns appeared on the Phoenix Demon Suit. Soon, they covered it entirely, making her look like she was wrapped in raging flames.
The flaming patterns became brighter and brighter, and the flames that enveloped her body became redder and redder.
In the next second, Qin Shi swooped down from the sky like a red meteor. With terrifying flames consisting of Demon Light, she charged at the huge Demon Spirit.
Her speed increased as the flames on her became brighter.
The huge Demon Spirit looked up at the sky as white demonic beams constantly shot out from its three eyes. However, the white Demon Light shattered upon collision with the flaming Demon Light.
Boom!
Qin Shi struck the head of the huge Demon Spirit like a burning stream of light. The red light produced by the explosion was like a constantly expanding sun, turning the entire sky red.
Success! Qin Shi couldn’t help but be delighted when she saw the huge Demon Spirit tilting to the side with half its head shattered.
Qin Shi’s expression fell the next second. Sensing danger, she made the Demon Suit fly away, but she felt her body tighten as she was grabbed by a huge palm.
Half of the huge Demon Spirit’s head had been shattered, and its wound was still burning with flames; yet, it grabbed Qin Shi with one hand. The immense power made Qin Shi feel that the Phoenix Demon Suit was cracking as though it would shatter at any moment.
Qin Shi frantically unleashed Demon Light, but she failed to break out of the palm. The Phoenix Demon Suit emitted cracking sounds as cracks appeared in many places.
Qin Shi knew that she had made a fatal mistake, but there was no chance of correcting it.
She couldn’t be blamed. She had never seen a Demon Spirit with its fighting prowess intact despite having half its head shattered.
Just as Qin Shi thought that she was doomed, she suddenly heard the huge Demon Spirit let out a tragic cry. The grip on Qin Shi weakened significantly.
Seizing this unbelievable opportunity, Qin Shi pumped Phoenix’s power to its max. She struck out with her palms, burning a crack in the huge Demon Spirit’s palm.
Demon Light spewed out from her back and feet as she rushed out of the crack and quickly rose into the sky.
Qin Shi realized that the huge Demon Spirit had its head lowered as though it was searching for something. Tracing the Demon Spirit’s gaze, Qin Shi was surprised to discover that in the forest that had been destroyed by the battle, there was a running Demon Suiter.
As the Demon Suiter ran, he condensed a Demon Light Ball and threw it at the huge Demon Spirit’s head.
Qin Shi recognized that the Demon Suiter was wearing a very old-fashioned E-class armor. It was also a mass-produced one.
It didn’t have sufficient kinetic capabilities and wasn’t fast. Its Demon Light attacks were uniform-Demon Light Ball and Demon Light Blade.
Demon Light Blade could only be used in close combat. Although Demon Light Balls were considered long-range attacks, their range was very short. They only had an effective lethal range of less than a hundred meters.
Furthermore, the trajectory of a Demon Light Ball was very unstable. It was very difficult to accurately hit the target.
This Demon Suit was inferior to the suits the dozen or so Demon Suiters from Tyro City wore. Wearing such a Demon Suit implied that he was either cannon fodder or someone with insufficient talent. He couldn’t activate high-level Demon Suits or didn’t have a powerful boss who was willing to spend money on him.
However, what the Demon Suiter subsequently did broadened Qin Shi’s horizons.
The huge Demon Spirit was attracted by the Demon Suiter as white demonic light constantly shot out from its eyes. Although one of its eyes was damaged and it couldn’t shoot out any more Demon Light, the Demon Light shot out from the remaining two eyes far exceeded the Demon Suiter’s capabilities in terms of speed and strength.
From Qin Shi’s point of view, that old E-class Demon Suit probably couldn’t even dodge a single attack, much less withstand the huge Demon Spirit’s white Demon Light.
If they were to clash head-on, all the energy produced by the E-class Demon Suit would be as fragile as porcelain in front of the S-class Demon Spirit.
Yet, the Demon Suiter moved quickly on the ground. Although his speed wasn’t fast enough, he was so agile and his actions so fluid that it made one’s scalp tingle.
He dodged Demon Light attacks again and again. He brushed past the white Demon Light almost every time. It looked harrowing, but he always emerged unscathed.
While dodging, he even had the time to throw out a Demon Light Ball.
The Demon Light Ball slowly cruised through the air, straight for the huge Demon Spirit. It was obvious that the trajectory was extremely unstable, as though it had already deviated from the huge Demon Spirit.
Even if the huge Demon Spirit stood still, it was impossible for it to hit it.
Qin Shi’s take was completely shattered in the next second.
The huge Demon Spirit also ignored it, believing that it was impossible for the Demon Light Ball to hit it. To its surprise, just as the Demon Light Ball was about to brush past the huge Demon Spirit’s head, it suddenly made a sharp turn and blasted into the huge Demon Spirit’s cracked wound.
It was originally impossible for such a Demon Light Ball to injure a Demon Spirit of this size, but the wound was located at its relatively weak brain.
The Demon Light Ball exploded on the brain wound. The huge Demon Spirit hugged its head and screamed in pain as Demon Light shot out crazily from its eyes.
Qin Shi had never seen Demon Light Ball bending after being shot. She was dumbfounded.
The Demon Suiter fled with all his might, dodging the chaotic Demon Light. At the same time, he threw out another Demon Light Ball.
The Demon Light Ball flew towards the huge Demon Spirit. The huge Demon Spirit had learned its lesson and extended its hand to grab the Demon Light Ball.
A miraculous scene happened. The Demon Light Ball seemed to have a life of its own as it circled around the huge Demon Spirit’s palm, drawing out a strange arc. It struck the huge Demon Spirit’s injured brain again in a trajectory similar to an uppercut.
“What are you waiting for?” Qin Shi, who was watching this scene in a daze, suddenly heard a cold shout. Only then did she react and immediately attack the injured Demon Spirit.
