- Chapter 65 - With the [Alchemy Box], Create, Enchant and Dominate! With a Box That Can Create Anything, Begin Building a New Life on a Deserted Island Chapter 65
Luke: “WHAT?! YーYou’re going to tear down this inn…….?!”
“I didn’t say right now. We’ll tear it down after a proper Governor’s mansion is completed.”
It’s been 10 days since the reinforcements came from the mainland.
Gredd, who headed all the craftsmen and workers, mentioned that during our breakfast.
Here, there were other craftsmen and Knights, and occasionally Adventurers who would come have a meal, and it would become very lively.
In my previous life and in this life, it’s been a pretty lonely meal experience, so from my perspective, being in this kind of atmosphere was quite amazing.
Luke: “And you’ll rob me of these happy moments of my life?!”
I leave out any mention of my previous life.
Gredd: “……I guess being a Noble also has its challenges too~”
“Oh nooo, the Chief is crying.”
“Governor~ the Chief has a soft spot for sob stories, so you can’t tease him~”
Well, I didn’t lie about anything.
But am I responsible for making him cry? Gredd: “Fiーーne! Then I’ll make a large dining hall on the first floor of the Governor’s mansion! You can make that a diner and have someone run it, alright? My wife would be happy to take that on.”
“Hey, honey. Stop spouting stuff without asking me first. Oh, but if the Governor tells me to do it, I’d be happy to.”
Luke: “Oooohhh! Is that really okay, Mrs. Rosetta? Then Chief, let’s build a dining hall on the first floor.”
Now we’ll be able to maintain this lively dining experience.
But if we are building a diner on the 1st floor, we shouldn’t build the mansion away from the town.
Luke: “Where do you plan to build the mansion?” With a mouthful of breaded, fried meat sandwich, I asked the Chief.
In this world, they didn’t have foods that combined different foods with baked breads, so I shared a few possible ideas, and it became an instant success.
Though it takes more time to bake it with extra ingredients, the overall amount of food increases so everyone loves it.
Gredd: “Hmmm….originally, I was planning on building it in front of the orchard area.”
Luke: “But if you build it there, it’ll be troublesome to go all the way there just to eat. It’ll discourage the customers, so I don’t wanna.”
Gredd: “Ugh, stop acting like a child!”
I’m almost 16. But I’m also not 16 yet.
In Japan, I am still very much considered a child.
But when I died, I was about 23, so I really can’t say that I’m a child now either.
Eri: “I also understand Sir Luke’s feelings.”
Luke: “Oh, Princess Aires. You understand my perspective too?”
Eri: “Yes. When I resided at the castle, I had my servants and attendants surround me during my meals, but I was not eating with them.” In other words, they surrounded her and just watched…
Yeah, that sounds pretty lonely too.
Eri: “It has been very enjoyable to be able to come here and dine with everyone, and the food is very good too.”
And the Craftsmen and Adventurers were very touched with her words.
On the other hand, the Knights strained a troubled smile.
It’s probably unheard of for a Princess of a country to enjoy mingling with the common citizens like this.
But here, it’s allowed.
That is the general atmosphere of this community.
And I want to protect what we have built up so far.

It’s been 2 months since the large reinforcements of Craftsmen and Carpenters came, and we built 2 new inns, an Adventurer’s Guild, and 2 apartment buildings which I suggested, and also civilian homes that doubled as their business store.
Gredd: “I’ve been doing this line of work for quite some time, but I never thought we would get this much done in 2 months.”
Luke: “It’s thanks to everyone’s help.”
But after I finished speaking, Gredd looked at me dumbfounded.
Huh? Why? We all did work really hard together.
Gonzo plucked out the trees, I made them into construction material, and the workers turned it into buildings.
The Adventurers and Knights all helped too. That’s why we were able to build so quickly.
Gredd: “Well, you all did work hard. Yeah…”
Luke: “But we still have a lot more work to do. We have apartments now and more inns, so I want to call in for more workers to assist.”
Gredd: “Since the Adventurer’s Guild is complete, the Guild Master wanted to remove the island entrance restrictions against Adventurers.”
Luke: “Well, since the Adventurers don’t mind living in tents, I can give permission for that.”
But before that, we need to improve our food supply.
Right now, all the wives of the Craftsmen are helping with the farms, but as soon as more people come, we’ll run into shortages.
I would really like for experts and agricultural specialists to move in.
That reminds me, I wonder how Roku’s doing?”
Since I’m a Tronstad citizen now, I can go see him…….and I look around as I think about Roku.
There are one, two, three…….lots of buildings under construction.
We still need an operation center for the Knights which will double as their quarters.
We have 3 inns right now, and around 15 rooms each. All the inns are only 2 stories tall, so there’s not that many rooms.
The Guild Master asked for at least 2 more inns.
And at least one more apartment building.
The two apartments are already full, and even if we invite more residents to come, they won’t have any place to live.
We also need individual homes for families. The farmers will not have any place to put their tools inside apartments.
Luke: “(sigh…….) We still need many more buildings.”
So in that case, let’s go make more supplies for the Craftsmen!

CHONKY Notes LiT (Lost in Translation)
総菜パン (Sou-zai Pan) (Bread combined with side-dishes)
(From the left, right, bottom left, bottom right – Yakisoba Bread; Chocolate Bread; Melon Bread; Curry Bread; respectively).
(I’m not going to even try identifying these. Please go to your nearest Asian Bakery Shop to explore similar breads)

The restaurant displays a variety of common bread and pastries you will find in a Japanese Bakery.
Souzai refers to side dishes, and the definition is so broad that it covers everything from desserts (kashi-pan) to main dishes (fried pork cutlets, fried noodles, and all assortments and combinations of sausages and cheese). Think of it like the kolaches of America. There are some crazy, creative bread and food combinations, and then some stupidly absurd ones (like sandwiching a whole Hershey’s chocolate bars between a hotdog bun).
