You Are My Rare Passion - Chapter 32
Chapter 32: Was Their Retribution About to Arrive?
As a result, the management of the egg and sperm banks was very stringent. Even their own staff had no idea which family had used which donor’s egg or sperm.
In other words, it was impossible for Ye Xingbei to find Xiao Shu’s biological parents now.
She was very disappointed.
But if she thought about it from another angle, it also meant that no one could claim Xiao Shu as their child in the future. Xiao Shu would always be her son so that was pretty great too!
As she thought about it, Ye Xingbei felt relieved again and slowly exhaled. She tilted her head to look towards Gu Junzhu, “I’m tired. Let’s go back?”
“You’re tired?” Gu Junzhu pulled her into his embrace and his eyes were full of indulgence. “Okay, let us quickly go home and rest!”
After he finished speaking, he carried Ye Xingbei in his embrace and turned around to walk outside without giving Jiang Zhengxing any prior notice.
Both Jiang Zhengxing and Xu Yanlai panicked. They rushed forward to block their path, “No matter what, both of you should eat before leaving. Everything has been prepared at home already!”
How could they possibly let the two of them leave when they still hadn’t reaped any benefit from either Gu Junzhu and Ye Xingbei?
Gu Junzhu looked at Jiang Zhengxing, who was blocking his way and said lightly, “Bei Bei is tired. I will take her home to rest. I appreciate CEO Jiang’s hospitality. CEO Jiang doesn’t need to see me out.”
His words were still rather polite but that icy and aloof gaze caused Jiang Zhengxing’s scalp to grow numb as he shuddered all over.
It was always like this every time they crossed paths.
Gu Junzhu was actually several decades younger than him, but whenever he went head-to-head with Gu Junzhu, he always felt that the former was like a celestial being standing high in the clouds while he was a lowly, powerless mortal.
The feelings of inferiority made Jiang Zhengxing unable to look him in the eye.
Gu Junzhu grasped Ye Xingbei’s shoulder as he bypassed Jiang Zhengxing and left unapologetically.
Xu Yanlai pinched Jiang Zhengxing fiercely with a malevolent expression, “It’s all your fault! I told you to let Jiang Siyou marry Gu Junzhu but you were bewitched by Jiang Siyou, that fox. You just had to go search for that b*stard! Isn’t this great now? Gu Junzhu is alive and well while that b*stard has become the Gu family’s Young Madam! In the future, all of us will have to depend on that b*stard’s moods to eke out a living. Do we still have a way to live in time to come?”
“You, shut up!” Jiang Zhengxing waved his hand and roughly pushed Xu Yanlai aside. Staring at her mulishly, his complexion turned red, “If it wasn’t for you insisting on sending Bei Bei away that year, Gu Junzhu would’ve been my son-in-law now! Wouldn’t the whole Jiang City have to give in to me, no matter what I do? You idiot did something stupid but you still have the face to blame me?”
Pushed by Jiang Zhengxing, Xu Yanlai stumbled a few steps backwards. She glared at him in disbelief, “Jiang Zhengxing, how dare you push me? You actually dare to push me? If my father hadn’t helped you, would you be able to enjoy what you have today? Jiang Zhengxing, don’t you forget that d*mning thing you did that year! If you dare to mistreat me, don’t blame me for disclosing that matter from the past!”
“Shut your mouth!” Jiang Zhengxing’s face suddenly changed color. Rushing to her, he covered her mouth and muttered fiercely in a low voice, “The children are all here! Do you want to die?”
Due to her sudden impulse, Xu Yanlai yelled out a secret that she had buried in her heart for a long time.
She immediately regretted her actions the moment she had spoken.
After all, she had a hand in that matter from the past.
If the public found out, not only would Jiang Zhengxing be incriminated, she wouldn’t turn out any better than him.
If she and Jiang Zhengxing were done for, could her children still live well in the future?
As Jiang Zhengxing covered her mouth, she did not struggle. But grief surged from within her and two lines of tears flowed out profusely.
Could it be that what was written in the books was true?
There would be karma for good and evil.
It wasn’t that they hadn’t received their retribution but that it wasn’t time yet.
Now, the heavens had opened its eyes.
Was their retribution about to arrive?
Jiang Zhengxing and Xu Yanlai were filled with alarm and terror in their hearts. They were afraid that the evil deeds they had committed in the past would come to the fore and see the light of the day.
