Chapter 41: A Gift for You
Liang Manyue came out of the suite and slammed the door behind her while gasping. As soon as she turned around, she saw the man who was leaning against the handrail opposite her. He looked lazy.
“Miss Liang.”
The man had a good voice which matched his appearance – the kind that could bewitch others.
In City Lan, it was said that any woman would fall for Tang Yueze but in her opinion, that was because very few people knew of Fengxing.
It seemed that he always had a cigarette between his fingers. His face was always gorgeous and sexy, and his eyes, always misty and flirty. It felt as if nobody ever knew what he was really thinking about.
Liang Manyue didn’t dare to look into his eyes. Mo Shiqian looked cold and sharp, but Fengxing, with the faint smile on his face, made her panic.
“Shiqian hurt his hand. You should help him bandage the wound.”
Fengxing flicked the ash from his cigarette and said to her with a smile, “Your fiancé was drugged and you are not willing to help him with it?”
Liang Manyue was a little stunned. She didn’t notice there was something wrong with him until now. It took her awhile to say, “He asked me to leave.”
“If you leave, I’ll get him a virgin right now.”
Liang Manyue frowned. “He will say no. He never messes around with women.”
Fengxing narrowed his eyes and sneered. “You don’t want him to mess around with other women, yet you can’t say no to Tang Yueze’s charm and wooing. It would be perfect if Shiqian flirted with you like Tang Yueze or if Tang Yueze was as loyal as Shiqian, right?”
“Fengxing, you can’t say such nonsense just because you are close to Shiqian!”
Fengxing’s pretty face suddenly turned sullen, and the casual expression on his face cooled down in an instant.
“Let me make it clear. If you leave the Nineteen Ninety-Nine, I will definitely bring a woman to him.”
“Are men’s minds only filled with these nasty things?”
Fengxing sneered. “Men are nasty. Are you noble then? I’m afraid that even though Tang Yueze hasn’t had s*x with you, he must have touched you all over and you have made out with him in the movie theatre and the underground parking lot. You just want others to know about you two, don’t you?”
Liang Manyue squawked. “Did you have someone follow me?”
Fengxing took a long inhale of smoke and then breathed out. His voice sounded indifferent and amusing. “I have eyes all over the city. I would rather not know how disgusting you are if I had a choice.”
Liang Manyue was so pissed off and her face was pale; she even trembled out of anger. “He forced me to do that.”
As soon as she had finished her sentence, a young man in a waiter’s uniform came over a hurry. “Well… Brother Seven, Mister Tang has come for her…”
The cigarette between Fengxing’s slender and beautiful fingers burned down to half. He gave her a cold smile.
“Miss Liang, you can choose to go back to the room or leave with Mister Tang. But you have to know if Shiqian were to really have s*x with a woman and the woman pesters him to make it serious… you would mean nothing to him.”
…
In Chi Huan’s apartment.
After coming back from the villa, she took a shower, got changed, and dried her hair. Then she took a bottle of wine and a glass from the wine cabinet in the study. She sat on the sofa, drinking alone.
She went into the study to get another one when she found that the bottle was already empty.
While walking by the desk, she glanced at the box placed on it unintentionally. She touched her eyebrows and walked over to pick it up and have a look at it. One bottle of wine didn’t make her drunk, but she wasn’t sober, either.
She took the box into the living room and put it on her lap. She then dialed Mo Shiqian’s number with one hand while the other was still on the box.
It took a long while for him to pick up.
The man was quiet.
“Mo Shiqian?”
“What’s the matter?”
His voice was quite deep and hoarse, but alcohol had deprived Chi Huan of her usual observation. She said, “Come to my apartment.”
He repeated the simple question again, “What’s the matter?”
“Well… get me two bottles of wine from the Nineteen Ninety-Nine, my usual type.”
There was a moment of silence on the phone. “I don’t feel well, can I ask someone else to drop it off to you?”
Chi Huan frowned. “No.”
Mo Shiqian refused her again, “I’m not available right now.”
“Not available? Are you with your girlfriend? You’re doing something intimate?”
“I’ll have someone else send the wine to you, okay?”
She seemed to be intensely irritated. “No, no, no! I’m ordering you to come to me. Mo Shiqian, I’m not married yet. You are still my bodyguard! You are saying no to your boss?”
He was quiet for a few more seconds and finally answered in a hoarse voice, “Okay, I’m coming.”
“Good, be quick. I’m about to go to bed.”
“Alright.”
Chi Huan hung up the phone and put it on the tea table. She sat on the sofa for a while and felt a little dizzy. So she held a cushion in her arms and lay down on her side.
Half an hour later, the doorbell rang and woke her up.
She got up and went to open the door. The tall, straight man stood at the door in casual and simple dark clothes. He had two bottles of wine in his hands. His eyes were darker than usual, as if they were trying to say something.
Chi Huan didn’t notice anything unusual. “Come in.”
She turned around and walked inside. Mo Shiqian looked at her long and scattered hair and hesitated for a second. He hadn’t planned to come into her apartment, but somehow he followed her in anyways.
He put the wine on the tea table without making much noise.
Chi Huan’s fair face had turned a pale red after drinking. She looked up at him, frowning. “Why are you standing there? It’s too tiring for me to look up and talk to you.”
Mo Shiqian sat down beside her.
They sat close enough for him to smell the lotion and liquor on her. The smell, together with the purity of a virgin, lured him.
Chi Huan picked up the navy box on the sofa and handed it to him. “This is a gift for you.”
Looking at her face, which was not even as big as his palm, and her rouged lips, he could barely hear what she was saying. He only felt that his mouth was dry. The flames that he thought had already been quenched were burning again, and burning up to his throat.
He repeated what she said hoarsely, “Gift?”
Alcohol gave her a blush but probably because he was enchanted, the blush seemed to mean she was shy. Chi Huan still didn’t notice that there was something wrong with him.
“You will not be my bodyguard tomorrow. I bought you a gift when I went shopping yesterday… well, take it as a thank you for taking care of me over these past years… uhm…”
She also wanted to ask him that, if she was not going to get married tomorrow, would he still be her bodyguard as before… but she didn’t have the chance to ask that. Because the man sitting beside her suddenly leaned over and kissed her with all his might.
Chi Huan was stunned at first. The box in her hand dropped to the floor. When she realized what the man was doing, she almost freaked out.
It wasn’t until seconds later that she started to struggle and tried to push him away, but when she did that, she was already being carried over to sit firmly on his lap. He controlled her in his arms. His one hand was behind her head, and his kiss went deep and wet.
