Su Mumu could tell that Xiong Miao was troubled.
Since Xiong Miao asked her not to call the police, she decided that she would confront the advertiser tomorrow and get back the sixty thousand yuan.
Why should they suffer in silence, being taken advantage of?
The children had worked hard! She couldn’t just stand by and watch Xiong Miao’s family be tormented like this.
After Xiong Miao had taken her bath, she entered her room to find the children still awake. “Mommy, hug.” The six little darlings with chubby pink faces asked, their expressions filled with longing.
Xiong Miao lay down in the middle of her children, holding their tiny bodies in her arms. The kids’ young faces nuzzled into her, quickly falling asleep.
Holding the soft, fragrant children in her arms, Xiong Miao felt considerably comforted and soon drifted off to sleep.
In the middle of the night, she woke up feeling hot, her head heavy and her body sweating profusely. The children in her arms were running a fever, making her feel uncomfortably warm.
Children naturally have a higher body temperature than adults, especially when they sleep soundly, their body heat increases and they sweat a lot.
Xiong Miao’s throat was dry, and she had to leave the children to take another bath and drink a cup of hot water before she felt a bit better.
However, she still felt dizzy, probably due to lack of proper sleep. She had been extremely tired these days.
She initially planned to work overtime today to finish drawing the finished product for the clothing line, but it seemed she wouldn’t be able to do that now.
After taking another bath in the middle of the night, Xiong Miao didn’t go back to the children’s room to sleep but instead went to her own room and fell asleep on the bed.
Early the next morning, Su Mumu arrived. She had tidied up the six little ones, prepared breakfast for them, and saw that Xiong Miao was still sleeping. Understanding that Xiong Miao was exhausted and needed rest, she decided not to wake her up. She left with the six little ones.
“Do you kids care about your mommy?” In the community garden, Su Mumu made them line up and asked them excitedly, much like a coach. “We care…” The six little ones, with their speech still unclear and their innocent faces stern, made it hard not to laugh. The rest of the siblings nodded in agreement.
“That’s great! If you all care about your mommy, we can’t let her risk her life for money. Now, listen to me, let’s go to Rich Corporation, find the person in charge, reclaim the rights to the advertisement, and get back the sixty thousand yuan that’s rightfully yours!”
“Okay!” All the little ones replied in unison. They then took each other’s hands like a little train and followed Su Mumu out. The sight of six adorable kids, following an adult in a military-like march, became a beautiful scene that added color to the dull city.
Once again, they took the bus.
Su Mumu tried to focus, reminding herself not to get distracted by handsome guys again and not to lose the kids.
Under her constant self-hypnosis, she successfully led the little ones to the front desk of Rich Corporation’s building.
“Hello, I’m looking for the person with the most authority here,” Su Mumu said to the receptionist.
When you’re looking for someone, you have to find someone whose words are treated like commands, someone who is obeyed unconditionally.
The receptionist looked at Su Mumu’s serious and excited face, then at the six kids obediently trailing behind her, holding onto each other like a train.
When she noticed one of the children’s faces, the receptionist was shocked. My goodness, how could this child look so similar to their President Zhan?
